I don't actually know. But I have changed to use steempeak for a long time. The team mainly support Hive now, so there would be little possibility of censor of the blockchain.

Steempeak still uses an API. They now actually censor the API output. The data is still there on the blockchain and if you have a direct reference to the article, it will still show without problems. It's kinda equivalent to a shadowban, designed to be as invisible as possible.

All dapps use APIs to get data from the blockchains. Censorship at the API level affects all dapps using APIs, including Steempeak, which is completely censored by the #irredeemables list through that mechanism, and obviously others employed by Sun Yuchen.
While Sun is only presently censoring Steem, the API level censorship of Hive is ongoing presently, exactly as it is on Steem.
