Does anybody know how the rewards work on steemit?

I don't understand....I get 3 likes on 1 post and get 2.85 dollars. Then I post something that gets 5 likes and get no money...
Any explanations?

    It depends on the person doing the voting and how much "Steem power" they have.

          It depends on how much steem power do your upvoters have. For example my full vote gives 5 cents, and other person's vote will be 10 cents...:)
