Steem stays in the Top 10.

The CCID came out with their 8th blockchain rankings and steem came in at number 10 on the list.

The CCID stands for China's Center for Information and Industry Development.

They have been putting out monthly rankings for 8 months now.

Some interesting observations:

EOS topped the rankings yet again while Ethereum came in at number 2.

Bitcoin was rated as the 18th best blockchain according to the CCID.

Steem continues to slide...

Before we get too excited, Steem was initially ranked as high as number 2 when these rankings first came out several months ago.

The tenth spot marks the worst ranking steem has received since they had been ranking blockchains.

Not only that, but steem ranks at #53 on coinmarketcap.com in terms of project valuation, while EOS and Ether both are in the top 5.

Hopefully the team can get things turned around here soon.

    That is something though, as @yabapmatt mentioned. It is difficult to get people interested in steemit.com though when prices are as low as they are, among other reasons.

    I feel helpless because I am not a developer. All I can do is use the stuff and talk about it.

    You shouldn't feel helpless at all...people using the stuff and talking about it is the most important thing! Go out and get new people onto the platform, bug exchanges about listing Steem, post on non-steem sites about how great Steem is. There's a tremendous amount that non-developers can do to help improve the Steem platform.

      Yep, well said. I still feel that if we hound coinbase enough, we could get them to list steem in the near future. :)

        It would be a good thing for sure. In the US there is no way to buy steem with fiat.

          I would love steem to be on top 10 again on marketcap... I remember when steem was in top 5

          I believe at one point it was number 2... very briefly. It was in the top 5 for a bit though.

              @jrcornel I think STEEM deserve a little more steps up the rank. STEEM has real life utility than most public blockchains
