Dinner and a Witness with the Legendary Jerry BanfieldsteemCreated with Sketch.

Hey, friend! I have a special guest with me today on the vlog...Steem witness Jerry Banfield!

Jerry lives is from Florida and he is spending the weekend in my neck of the woods. He flew into Detroit which is about a 2 hour drive from my home.

Since I am one of his partners inside of his Steem partner program, he asked me to meet him for dinner so I left work early just to meet up with him.

For those that don't know @jerrybanfield, he is a successful Steem investor and witness who is involved in high-level projects which improve the community here on Steem.

He also runs his own successful online business outside of Steem where he creates courses and training to assist people in growing their own sustainable businesses online. Go follow Jerry if you haven't already.

We had a good conversation over dinner at a bistro near the Detroit airport. We talked about our families, business, Steem, and everything in between.

At one point, Jerry suggested that I quit my job and do Steem full-time. I laughed but he was serious. He told me that he has taken leaps of faith like that in the past and it turned out to be a great decision. I told him I'd think it over.

Here's where you come in, friend...we need your input! Do you think I should quit my job and go full-time as a content creator on Steem? Or, do you think that's a bad idea and I should keep splitting my time between my 2 jobs and Steem.

Let us know in the comments below!

It was a pleasure meeting up with Jerry and picking his brain a bit. I didn't expect to meet him in person about a couple weeks after joining his partner program.

Hope you enjoyed this vlog my friend. I will be doing more videos like this as my Steem journey continues. Who knows where it will take me next!

Until next time, remember...YOU ARE AWESOME!

Take care.

-Ken

that's crazy, you actually met Jerry

Sure is @kiefpreston.com! It was amazing :) Have you met any Steemians in person?

no, not yet. i'm currently traveling a lot around Europe, and not many people have heard of Steemit out here. Thinking about looking up some Steemit meetups

Ken thank you very much for driving up to see me, filming this video of us there, and sharing it here on Steem! I enjoyed getting to know you and appreciate you sharing what we talked about because anyone reading and watching can get part of the experience! I will upvote soon from a bid with the bot at nearly full power and then resteem soon after that!

Hi, Jerry. Just a quick question. If I become involved with the same Steem partner program, could I learn the ropes, too? Do my statistics have potential? I'm so happy to hear that you could go out to dinner with a newbie. Thank you for caring about other Steemians.

@gungho it is open, feel free to join as soon as you can so that you can learn from him. Go to https://jerrybanfield.com/partners and sign up!

Ok, I will do it right away. Thank you!

@jerrybanfield It was an honor to meet you in person. Looking forward to the next time. Thank you for being so kind and have a great Memorial Day weekend 👊🏻

Hey ken......u were u giveaway the 25 SBD.....
I am still waiting and it is 27 today...

@junaidiqbal tomorrow you will find out the winner when I post the video on dtube :)

That's awesome Ken! Personally, I 'd love to do steem full time but there's just no way the mortgage would get covered let alone everything else. Until then, I'll just keep on shooting for people. If you do decide to go full time, I wish you the best of luck. Have you considered buying a server and becoming a witness?

@scottshots I hear you and thank you for your input! I have not considered buying a server yet but just give me time as I'm sure I will at some point :)

-Ken

Cool, I'd vote for you as a witness!

Keep your job, but keep steeming hard.

Right on @tradealert. Thanks for your input!

Hello @kenmelendez,

I must say meeting one of the best brain steemit has produced, is historic. And I should say congratulations in the sense that you must be inspired to attain a greater height by this meeting.

@jerrybanfield is one of the success stories steemit has to offer the world. His successes within a very short time of joining the program beats my imagination. I used to think that he's being around here since early 2016. It was from @samstickkz that I get to know he's as old as myself here on Steemit. But have concrete achievements to boast of and has been impacting positively on the lives of those who are close to him.

The decision whether to do steemit full-time or not, I think, shouldn't be something a third party should wade into. You alone should figure out what's best for you. Thanks.

@eurogee of @euronation community

Thank you for that @eurogee. Jerry is an incredible inspiration and is extremely knowledgeable about Steem and online business. As far as my job, I'm going to keep it for now but hope to give it up soon!

-Ken

Good luck my friend

Ken, if we ever go out to dinner. I'll upvote you man.

Let’s do it bro! Anyone who knows me knows I love food 😀👊🏻

Looks like that worked ; )

Has anyone told you that you both look very much alike? Now i see why you two are close... two great men, doinh great things! Cheers friend!

@camilus you really think so? haha. It was a pleasure meeting Jerry and I am learning so much from him. Cheers to you too!

-Ken

I'm sure you've had a good time. @kenmelendez quitting one's job is a big decision and only you can decide what's best for yourself and your family.

Thank you @gmichelbkk. For now I am keeping the job but want to give it up sooner than later that's for sure.

-Ken

OMG , thats the legend right there , you are a lucky man @kenmelendez , i would give a world to meet @jerrybanfield but am poor

@blackempror yes, I don't call it luck, I call it favor from God Himself. Also, don't call yourself poor or else you will attract more poorness. Think of yourself as rich and you will begin to attract riches.

Thanks @kenmelendez , i now believe ,AM RICH!!!!!!

nice one with one of the best

Right on @dablainks. He truly is an elite Steemian :)

-Ken

At one point, Jerry suggested that I quit my job and do Steem full time. I laughed but he was serious.
Then.. I would do the same thing as Jerry's advice, for full concentration into this business.

Thank you for your input @sentanu74. As for me, I have a family to support so I have to keep that in mind when weighing my options. How are you enjoying your Steem journey so far?

-Ken

of course I enjoy it every moment. Great business opportunities. But I have to improve my language skills first 😁

That’s awesome to be able to meet @jerrybanfield in person! I do believe we can learn a lot from him just through conversation.
As for going full time on Steem, my take is to juggle with the commitment I have. If it’s minimal and I am able to cope without a stable inflow of cash, then I could call it in.

Meeting Jerry was SO worth it! Hey, perhaps you can indeed go full-time on Steem in the next 2-3 years.

-Ken

Yes, that's where I am heading to! Hopefully I can realize that :) Same goes to you!

My best regards to @jerrybanfield ❤️

@zam398 he is a legend here on Steem and it was an honor to meet him.

-Ken

Ken, if we ever go out to dinner. I'll upvote you man.
