SpaceX is About to Change the Trajectory of Our Future - The Falcon Heavy is Set to Launch For the First Time Tomorrow

in steem •  7 years ago

Hey everyone! As you all know, I'm a huge fan of Elon Musk and his capacity and ambition to change the world. I always am excited to see what he cooks up in his "laboratories" at SpaceX and Tesla and his launch tomorrow has me extremely excited.

Should tomorrow's launch be successful, Falcon Heavy will become the most powerful rocket since we sent humans to the moon! There are also a few other aspects of this launch that make it unique:

  1. The Launchpad
  2. The Cargo
  3. The Stakes

The Launchpad:

Launchpad 39A will serve as the station from which the Falcon Heavy will be leaving. This launchpad is signifcant because it was used by the Saturn V Rocket that sent humans to the moon and serves as a historical landmark.

The Cargo:

Did you think the cargo would be some precious satellites? It's actually carrying Elon's cherry red Tesla roadster that will be blasting David Bowie while shooting for a sun-centered orbit near Mars.

Don't forget that this launch is an initial test flight of the Falcon Heavy rocket and SpaceX is looking to make a statement with it rather than risk blowing up expensive satellites.

The Stakes:

While the Falcon Heavy isn't carrying any overly expensive cargo, this mission does have high stakes. For one, if the Falcon Heavy blows up on the launchpad, it will completely decimate a historical landmark (launchpad 39A) and will delay SpaceX's plans for the Dragon Crew launch later this year.

Not only that, but the faith in SpaceX will be a little shaken if this mission goes south. Musk has tamed the hype by warning the media that this launch is a test and there are a lot of things that can go wrong. If SpaceX is successful, this launch will serve as a major statement to the world about the private space industry and that anything is possible.

This was Musk's ambition from the beginning - to make the world excited about the future. For people to wake up and not just look for problems to solve, but to be ambitious and adventurous.

Am pretty much excited about this particular launch. It just seems like a dream coming through. For long Musk has put this together. And tomorrow it will come close to happening.

For sure tomorrow planned launch comes with a lot of high stake for either its success or failure. My best wishes are with the spaceX family. I hope they pull this through as it will also served as a source of inspiration to lots of us to build our dreams bigger and Wilder.

About watching it, I wish I could. I don't know if they will be any site streaming live as I don't have access to a television set right here to watch it on the news. But whatever happens, I'll check on sky news mobile app and hope to catch a glimpse.

Good luck Musk you will need all the luck you can get.

I agree, it's an amazing source of inspiration. Here's a link to the live stream they'll be showcasing tomorrow: http://www.spacex.com/webcast

Thank you very much

Ah I had no idea this is tomorrow! Such an inspiration showing that minds cannot be stifled when properly motivated and anything is possible. I will be watching closely and cheering for a successful test launch.

Launching a Tesla is just kind of funny and would be about as much of a percentage of his income as one of the last 2 beers in the fridge are in my budget. Still, shame to see it go up in flames with a historical landmark.

GO FALCON HEAVY GO!

🚀 I'm hopeful and optimistic for the SpaceX team, they are the most talented and capable people in the world and I'm glad to hear that you're rooting for them as well! 🙏🏽

I wasn't around to see the moon launch, but I will be to see this and any future launches. This is like being a kid again with eyes wide open and ready to explore!

I agree! It's extremely exciting and really inspiring for me to take my businesses and projects to the next level!

i also belive that SpaceX will change Our Future

i request falcon heavy to take steem with it and drop it to the moon tomorrow.

Elon MUSK has some awesome ideas!!! He is incredible! Lets hope this goes well and the future is bright for Space x... Huge potential... Love this guy and his innovation..

I agree, what great innovation. It's more challenging now to be innovative with how much we have already advanced.

I didn’t realise the launch was tomorrow but I’m so glad it is. Will definitely have to watch that, it will be amazing. Thanks for sharing.

excellent note, I hope to read more of your impressions

What is specification of this @spacex and where it will be launch @khaleelkazi

Cherry red tesla, will decimate a historical landmark and will be a little shaken if this mission goes south... very funny man... Fingers cross man... To the future!!!

Woohoo. A successful launch. I was so anxious. I had a lot of confidence in the SpaceX team and even in Elon Musk individually. But Elon himself put the expected success rate somewhere "between 50 percent and 70 percent."

I do love his attitude though. He said it would either be an exciting success or an exciting failure. It is rare to see someone so gleefully embrace his own failures. I think a lot of lessons can be learned from that attitude alone.

I'm pretty excited but will probably watch a replay, I was amazed watching some of the landings they've done with their other rockets! Perfect landings, it's crazy. This should be good

It's an amazing event, though I don't get to watch, but when it gets to the cause of an advancement and development in the schemes of humanity. Really it gives me 200% joy

Very interesting n amazing to know this. Thanks for bringing to us this new n excited info. I would like to watch its launching also.

Will you watch the launch tomorrow? How excited are you for this amazing event that could absolutely change the trajectory of our future?

Wasn't aware that this was gonna happen until reading your post. It's always like good news and stuff I'm uninformed about when I read your write ups.

This is gonna be exciting and who knows we'd be the first generation flying on a rocket in our lifetime :D

I'm a fan Musk .But I'm no idea this is tomorrow!.Thanks for info

SpaceX is a project I admire. I do not know how long it will reach the target.

That is one massive rocket. To the moon is nothing for this guy. If I had a choice of watching the NE Patriots lose the Superbowl or watching this rocket I would choose the rocket. If that rocket fails I will not hear any talk about "vacations on the moon." If that rocket flies then NASA will have to rethink its position in the space program. It's kind of like introducing charter schools into the public school system but these will be charter rockets.

It was a successful launch. Hope for us all to go to the moon!! Interesting when it is spelled "lunch".

I have not paid attention to lunch and science for some time now, I never knew a great lunch is schedule for tomorrow, thanks to you, as I I will make out time to see the lunch.

I personally think nothing will go south, we can loose an historic place or time, I just hope this goes as planned.
