Was checking in on Steem-Roller.com when I noticed the degenerate king himself @acidyo log in and deposit a little bit of STEEM. One thing led to another and his first few deposits were hoovered up by the dice with some streaks of bad luck on his rolls.. Then he decided to get serious with a 1000 STEEM deposit and started ripping shit up with 120 STEEM bets at 49.5% win chance. This seemed to yield him a fair amount of luck but then he decided to up the bet by double and started throwing out 241 STEEM bets! You can see me egging him on and calling him a degenerate whilst in the trollbox in the image below.
For those of you not aware of the current market price of STEEM (~$0.158 USD) and bad at maths those 241 STEEM bets are worth nearly $40 USD a pop and @acidyo was firing them off with reckless regard for bankroll or losing. He simply kept smashing the betting buttons until he won more than he deposited. A pretty vulgar display of degenerate gambling but awe inspiring none the less. Always enjoyable watching people throw down some serious bets on the site even if it is only in development!
In the aftermath of all his betting I think @acidyo ended up with around 500 STEEM profits from his gambling endevours.. Which is pretty damn impressive if you ask me for only playing for about 5-10 minutes. Not sure exactly how many bets he did but to walk out the doors of the site with an extra 500 STEEM to your name certainly isn't a bad time at all! If recalling correctly he was down some STEEM on his run initially but then won it back and then some after starting to bet like a wild man. Either way it was pretty fun to watch him battle the provably fair roll generator on the site and come out on top this round. Currently the site is allowing wins over 550 STEEM per a roll with a bankroll of just under 10,000 STEEM. Investors in the bankroll are leveraged at an average around 5x margin allowing gamblers to take a significant chunk of the bankroll on each winning bet if they so choose to risk it with large STEEM wagers. While still technically in the alpha development stage the site is open to both gamblers wishing to test their luck to win STEEM as well as investors wishing to become a part of the bankroll and earn some STEEM when gamblers lose.
Gamblers can specify win chances as high as 98.99% or as low as 0.0001% ( one in a million ) at their leisure and wager as little as 0.00000001 STEEM on a bet if they so wish, although bets less than 0.001 STEEM are delayed by 800ms in order to prevent a bunch of users spamming dust bets and overwhelming the server.
Investors can instantly deposit, withdraw, invest and divest their STEEM into the community bankroll and deploy leverage via the greed slider in order to maximize their investment profits. An example would be someone invests 1 STEEM at 99x leverage which in turn makes their investment act as if it's 99x larger.. yielding profits at 99x the rate but also loses at the same rate if gamblers happen to get lucky and win.
If you're bored and want to come test your luck on teh site or are a savvy investor with an appetite for new up and coming ways to get a return on your STEEM investment without being locked in for any time frames come check out the live Steem-Roller.com alpha testing and see what the future of STEEM gambling is going to look like. Currently the mobile version of the site leaves a lot to be wanted in terms of compatability with popular devices but is being worked on for the next version which should be out around the end of February or so. In the mean time folks can come wager some STEEM to grow their faucet payouts and get free STEEM every 5 minutes with a few simple clicks of their mouse. Come drop in and say high in the trollbox and I may tip you a small amount of STEEM to try out the site!

Faucet is up and running. Should have some STEEM in it unless it's been drained.. Just gotta log in and hit the faucet button. :)
