Lesson Learnt from the Steemit Payout System

It's a wonderful Tuesday to behold. Good morning to every Steemian from my timezone. I hope we all have a fulfilling Tuesday

Upon joining the steemit blockchain and getting to familiarize with how the system worked. One of the questions I asked myself was; 'why does payout have to be in seven days, why not after 24hours or better still payout as soon as you get an upvote'?.

How naive I was. This system was put in place to make the steem blockchain function more effective and organized. Just like every organized system has measures put in place to make the sysem effective.

Little did I know that my curiosity on the steem layout was going to be teaching me a lesson on labour and reward in general life terms.

On steemit, it takes seven days for a post to payout, whatever you payout today on the steem blockchain is just a true reflection of how much you invested on the network exactly seven days ago. If you didn't steem seven days ago, then you don't expect to payout anything today.

This is the same way the real world functions. In most cases, the rewards we earn are a result of actions, acts of kindness and sacrifices made in times past. Or in some other cases acts of kindness by others.

There is a popular saying that a beautiful tomorrow starts by working today. How much effort we put in today will reflect on our lives in the nearest future.

We all desire a colourful future, but the question is what are you doing to make tomorrow is colourful? Are you working and putting things in place to achieve this dream or you are banking on luck to achieve this dream.
The truth is that which ever one of the two you chooses to do will be evident soon enough.

Success in life comes as a result of proper planning although, it is evident some people stumble on success without working their way through to the top (even in this case, they still need proper planning to sustain this level of success).
From whichever way we look at it, achieving and maintaining success comes at a certain price. Planning is one of the major things that must be to achieve our dreams.

This brings me to the questions;
•What do you see yourself achieving on steemit and in your life within the next six months?
•What is your roadmap to achieving this dream?

This post was inspired by @ogoowinners Success Train and my thinking from a whole new perspective lol.

Thanks for reading. I remain your humble Nigerian Steemian @korexe
