Hey, my name is Veronica (or not) and I have just one tiny little

BIG QUESTION

Does STEEM has any future at all?

Incentivizing posting and participating, surely others tried it to. No?
Anyone remember https://www.bubblews.com/ ? Were is it now?

Sure, STEEM has a twist, built on blockchain but for me it looks like the only winners here are the ones that got in at the very first when steem curency was low. Now that it grew is just a matter of time until it will fall?

Any new person like me that is a nobody won't make a cent and after a while they will quit until everything will collapse...

"Something is wrong with STEEMIT / People are here just for the money" and I will add money that will never ever come

/rant over

Please feel free to post anything that shows me wrong. I'm ready for some open discussions but only if there are honest. I want to hear from others newbies like me what their fears are and their honest thoughts. After all this is said to be the most uncensored and free place of them all to speak out.

Time will tell, but I have a good feeling about it. Steem could also be used...as a currency!

I'm new here as well, but I differ in my perspective in the value of steemit. There's more reasons to be here other than for financial gain, and I hate to say this, but if that's the only reason you're here, maybe this isn't the best place for you to invest your time. Personally, I enjoy the CONTENT shared here, by fellow anarchists, agorists, and voluntaryists. Plus, I think this is a great place to begin learning more about cryptocurrency, coding, and how to use blockchain. Maybe you want to consider the value you place in those subjects before dismissing steemit prematurely. Remember, steemit is still in the developmental stage even though there's been quite a stir on breitbart, motherboard. vice, ibitimes, and other websites.

Things will progress for those who consciously decide to take the time here to create content that is their own original thought out ideas, fact sharing, and creative pursuits. I see this as one of the more challenging sites and for that reason, I enjoy it here. Hope you find a change of heart.

Well, at least, I doubt you'll succeed on steemit, with that attitude.

  • If you don't think, that steemit with bring you any value. Then go back to facebook, or what ever platform you do like.

I'm not here for the money, I'm here because it's an easy place to support people, that produce content that I value. - Though, for now, my upvote is worth very little.

  • Should I earn a dollar or two in the process of that, or while I write my own bullshit for self improvement. Then that's a nice bonus to get.

I can recommend This post by Jeff Berwick though.

Anyway, wish you luck in earning that fortune, you seem to think steemit should bring you. <.<

Who said anything that I'm here because I want money. NO. I am just questioning the future of this project and I want to be certain than one day my posts won't dissapear because this failed. Maybe now you understood my concerns.

Saying take it or leave is not the discussion I wanted to make with Steemit users

a person like me wont earn a cent, and after a while they will quit.

You pretty much say it yourself.

and I want to be certain than one day my posts won't dissapear because this failed.

Have you ever written anything on a blog, your own website, facebook, or anything else online?

  • There's a risk of all those things going "puff".

Saying take it or leave is not the discussion I wanted to make with Steemit users

You clearly misunderstood my comment, but I'll take than on myself, for my poor communication skills.
^ If you don't think, that steem will bring any value to your life, then it's a waste of your time to be here.

  • It doesn't matter, if it's money, knowledge, friendships, or what ever. If you don't think you get anything out of it, then it's not really worth your time, is it? And if it's not worth your time, you should probably find something else, that you see as worth your time.

hi lala, i've been here 2 weeks and used to write on bubblews, but came here like yourself with no following to bring over.
Bubblews was never going to last simply because they where promising more money than they had coming in that's before we even get started on everything else that was wrong with the site . those who knew how google ad's payment work literally just rode that site while we could knowing it was going to crash at some point. TSU was worse I honestly don't know why anyone stuck about after reading the payment structure.

I do think steemit is different though and not just because i got lucky with my first post and made over $200. it's well thought out, it doesn't rely soley on inside traffic thanks to the trading element, they have found a way to make spamming unprofitable very early into the game. and you don't have to be a great writer to earn which will attract content consumers as well as content creators (which none of the other pay per view sites ever managed).

Is the site a guaranteed success of course not but its definitely worth sticking about to find out.

I've been about a week and a half after hearing some people I knew made $10,000 on their intro posts. I've been sick of facebook for quite a while, but that's where most of the people I know are. I tried Tsu and Minds and Seen.is but just never felt compelled to stay long. I do like the content on here and I already know a few people but in the beginning I had a hard time navigating the site and understanding how to do things. There is still a lot I don't understand about the strategy of powering up or down and all that but I'm learning. It does seem though that someone who is already famous and successful is automatically going to be more successful on here, unless your timing of posting something happens to coincide with a whale being on and giving it a boost. I signed up because I was looking for an alternative to facebook and to be honest, because I also desperately need to raise some money pretty quickly. Unless I'm lucky enough to have the right timing with a whale it doesn't seem likely but we'll see what happens.
