Wake up sleepyhead

This morning I got up late and it was showering hard. I'm drawn to the ocean and when the rain comes it has a huge effect on me. Not being able to rouse myself properly I started for the jay/coffeepot combo. Before I get there I realise I have half an hour to get to work.

Cuppa jo yo

I put on the kettle in our commune kitchen and rush back to my room. I see a little black microphone on the floor that dropped on the floor the previous night. Recently I ordered this microphone as a measuring instrument for sound kit. I was so disdained with the whole affair of this little mic being faulty that I didn't pick it up the previous night.

A milion cobwebs

The previous night, sleep came reluctantly, never sleeping seemed an option. I did a music stream, this stream was something memorable for me, I had connected beyond the veil of internet separation and uplifted some of the STEEM community with a proper stream. I did feel my voice waver the whole night and had no clue why, my voice has been with me and strong lately except for one day. I m finding my singing voice so I listen to myself closely these days.

Big mistake

So in my daze of being awake I toss the little black microphone on my black bedsheet. Big mistake, made in the first two minutes of the day, little did I know I will not remember doing this at all.

I was frazzled getting ready for work, running to and fro. I had to reach over my cupboard and the table I was standing on tilted and afforded me a rough ride floor-wards.

No time to spare

I arrived at work with no time to spare. My car door would not open any more. Access to my car is now, stinted. I unpacked my laptop bag and recognized the absence of my charger! I have also drained the battery the previous night. My savior was an available pc to work on. Several people were sick at work, coughing, drooping, wearing long faces. There was a lot of whispering in the office, never heard so much whispering before. My senses weren't in their usual splendor, everything was dull but the time passed for a change.

The scissors threaten to cut me off!

As I got home there was a huge (About 40kg) wet palm branch hanging over the telephone line in front of our gate. Out comes the step ladder, I'm swaying around at the top step stretched out fully with nothing to hold on to, trying to cut a palm frond folded over a coax cable. I chopped several parts from the base and finally got it light enough to lift over the telephone cable and release its prisoner, my line of communication with you people.

Victory!

So the gate is closed, I am back at home, and I remember the dropped mic! yes I DJ'ed and dropped the mic yo. Well I upturned every inch of my little world painstakingly for two hours, I've gone as far as scanning over every inch of the garden fearing a dog might have carried it off. Where do I eventually find the little black microphone? in my bed.
