5 of the best couch co-op games i've played

In todays age of the PS4 and Xbox one it seems like more and more game developers have all but forgotten the fantastic option of "couch co-op". Nothing quite compares to the rush of annihilating the various evils of the gaming world with you best friends next to you. Then turning on each other for the last epic showdown.

So i have decided to make a top 5 list of some of the best games with co-op that I have played. The list is in no particular order and represents only my opinion

1.) Borderlands 2 : This is one of my new favorite games. I just recently started playing this game and I've already beat it twice and unlocked Ultimate Vault Hunter mode and let tell you that shit is no joke... But I highly recommend this game to anyone that enjoys Action RPGs or first person shooters with an excellent sense of humor.

2.)Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks: This may be a controversial one considering it was rushed out the door before they could complete it. But as far as a 2 player action-fighting game you will be hard pressed to find one better. Grab a buddy and give it a try.

3,) Lego Marvel Superheros: You could really put any lego game here and it would be a damn good co-op game. I find that i had more fun with Lego Marvel because of the HUGH roster of character you have to choose from, and enough easter eggs to satisfy even the most hardcore marvel fans.

4.) Diablo Reaper of Souls: First off, let me start by saying that i borrowed the game off a friend for 7 months and played it everyday with my neighbor Everyday. It has so much content and difficulty levels that just keep you coming back for more. Then you add in all the different characters and their multiple skill trees and you can get lost for ages playing this one.

5.) Terraria: Last but by no means least, this is one of my all time favorite games. Even without mods the PC version has so much to offer its mind blowing. You and your friends can build, destroy, explore, and battle your life away. I personally am still playing this game today. If you ever wanted a 2D game like minecraft but with amazing bosses and more enemies to defend your creations with against then this is for you. If you only try one of these games it needs to be Terraria.

Well i hope i raised some interest in some of you and your friends to check out some truly amazing games. Its time that we gamers stand up and demand more local co-op multiplayer options in our games. I'm not saying all games need it, but obvious ones like XCOM for example, would benefit majorly from some local 2 player action.
