I came across a post on Facebook where someone pulled out their phone and recorded a man jumping into a lake to save a "drowning baby deer". My science brain immediately took over and I thought, "This idiot just effed up the laws of natural selection!!!".
Then I thought about the young man who lost his life for pissing outside of a Denny's in north Houston, TX. Again, someone pulled out their phone to record the young man being tackled and placed in a choke hold that led to him suffocating.
I questioned the people who decided not to interfere to stop the citizen who used obsessive force to hold the young man down until the police arrived.
Why didn't anyone spring into action to save this young man, John Hernandez? I compared comments and views of animal rights activists to those who defended the citizen.
It seems as if society will spring into action for animals before they would for a human being. I come across this time and time again. People will say "humans are cruel". Not all humans are.
I still have faith that there are still good in all people!
Is true and sad at the same time , people now at days care more about likes than real life people !!

I would have definitely saved the baby deer. Also, would have stopped the human getting attacked to the best of my abilities.
