Break The Worry Habit: Thought For The Day #37 💭✍

How to Crowd Worry Out of Your Mind

Dale Carnegie realised that it is difficult to worry while you are busy doing something that requires planning and thinking. ‘I am so busy now that I have no time for worry’. The great scientist, Pasteur, spoke of ‘the peace that is found in libraries and laboratories.’ Why is peace found that? Because the men in libraries and laboratories are usually too absorbed in their tasks to worry about themselves. Research men rarely have nervous breakdowns. They haven’t time for such luxuries.

‘Occupational therapy’ is the term now used by psychiatry when work is prescribed as though it were a medicine. It is not new. The old Greek physicians were advocating it five hundred years before Christ was born! Any psychiatrist will tell you that work – keeping busy – is one of the best anesthetics ever know for sick nerves.

The remedy for worry is to get completely occupied doing something constructive. Your blood will start circulating and your mind will start ticking – and soon this whole positive upsurge of life in your body will drive worry from your mind. Get busy.

@luppers, When we do nothing then we allow our thoughts to run with full flow and everywhere. When we lose control on our thoughts then in my opinion we will face the issues of worries and when we surround with people, some can face panic attacks too.

So, it's vital to engage ourselves in work, and by work it's not mean that you are doing just to avoid something, but the work which is your passion and interest and which gives you value. Keep up with very valuable writing pieces. Stay blessed.

Yes, sometimes the monkey mind can run away with us and cause a very stressful time. I once heard that all of our fears and worries only happen in the mind, in reality and in the present moment there are no problems. Yes that is the key, there is a clear distinction between being busy and running away from something and being busy in a healthy sense with activities that you enjoy doing! Great thoughts, thank you for sharing! Upvote 100%!

True, every situation is constant only our thoughts will going to make it, easy, tough, toughest, sad, happy, challenging and ease. And one same situation differently pursued by different people. So, mind can make us king or slave.

Welcome and thank you so much. Have a pleasant time ahead.

Yes. Even deeper. I've heard that life just 'is' and it is the mind that can make it heavenly or not heavenly. You're welcome! 50% upvote! Great thoughts again, feel free to share!
