Way, way back in December 2017 I posted the first list of businesses accepting payment in STEEM.

I followed that up with a second edition in January 2018.
Steem was booming at the time hitting a giddy price of $7, and riding high at #27 on Coinmarket.cap.
A lot has changed since then and all the businesses in those lists have long since stopped taking STEEM - although it it is great to see @progressivechef there. I believe his restaurant still accepts STEEM payments.
Now, particularly thanks to the efforts of the PromoSteem, Business Activity and Steem Entrepreneurs communities, I am delighted to see a new wave of businesses joining Steem and accepting STEEM and SBD payments.
To help promote these businesses I am starting the Steem Business Directory.

Having so many businesses already accepting STEEM payments really adds value and utility to the community and the blockchain.
It is important to encourage these businesses by using their services and paying with STEEM.
So if you are in one of the countries listed above please do check out the businesses to see if any of them are near you. If they are please try to use them.
