Lots of pregnant women ask certain questions like::

Please, will cold water affect my baby when I drink it?

Will drinking cold water make my baby sneeze a lot?

And many other misconceptions....so here's what you need to know

Scientifically...it is always safe to consume cold drinks because whatever temperature the food or drink is, when it gets to the stomach and intestines, it automatically changes to your body temperature....therefore taking cold drinks doesn't affect your growing baby

HOWEVER

Moderation should be considered in everything we do. Pregnant women needs to drink more fluids during pregnancy to compensate for their increased blood volume and the fluid surrounding the baby.

Take precautions to avoid these drinks
1: Avoid artificial sweetened cold drinks
2: Avoid gassy or carbonated cold drinks
3: Avoid carbonated sodas, it contains caffeine, which in large amounts has been linked to miscarriages
4: Avoid carbonated drinks which are one of the common triggers of heartburn

RATHER : Take cold milk and dairy products that provide a large amount of calcium needed to build the baby's bone and teeth.
