There was a new Hard Fork. The most immediate change is to the way rewards are implemented: authors now split with curators 50/50, instead of the 75/25 split it was before. This was done to make buying votes from bidbot services far less attractive, while incentivizing more manual curation among users, and it seems to have done just that.

No tokens yet as far as I know, but that's still being worked on from what I understand. :)
