Making Steemit More Sustainable - Hadron

Now after seeing that Ned has had to let go of 70% of his staff, due to the low price of Steem, I feel that Steem needs another source of income. One that compliments Steem whilst also being different enough to add something new to the community. Because the whole aim is for people to be driven financially to support the blockchain and as people highlighted in a discussion I had, many witnesses will be unwilling to make a loss due to not getting enough value in against their expenses. Now this I don't believe is true at the moment of witnesses who are doing fantastic jobs supporting the community at their own expense because they understand the rewards will come, with growth.

However this may not be the case when we say have 100 million users who need lots more witnesses, will the new less devoted witnesses be willing to take the hit? Maybe, but I think we could try to add another layer of versatility to ourselves, different streams of income. This can be done with Steem and using it in a more varied way, such as promoting it not only as a social media reward coin. I think this will naturally occur but in the time that it takes for this development to happen we need to look at alternatives that compliment the Steem Blockchain.

My idea was to use the Hadron blockchain, a lot of you will unlikely know much about it, but essentially it is a "decentralized, open marketplace platform for distributed machine learning as well as human and machine-powered enterprise tasks. In hadron, the available computing power of any devices can be put to work in exchange for tokenized rewards. Those who require resources for training AI models can access a potentially limitless resource of compute power through the decentralized network of users."

How this will fit into Steem

It could easily be integrated into our Steemit accounts. Every time we login to Steemit and use the Blockchain it mines Hadron in the background. I am mining Hadron at the time of writing this post and it has no effect on the performance of my computer. Due to it being mined from your web browser it means it could also be done on dapps that don't use Steemit directly.

What are the benefits to both parties?

Well the main benefit to Steem users is that it is another revenue source, however I believe that Steemit Inc should take a small cut from users earnings in order to sustain the network. This would at least help alleviate the financial problems caused by the current bear market. It would also allow Steem users to use Hadron's Market which at the moment offers services which could help prevent plagiarism as well as help charitable causes.

Now the main sticking issue is why would Hadron want to do this? It already has a waiting list. I believe it will give them firstly a lot more attention due to exposure to a large community of Steemians. This combined with a massive growing source of computational power which will help grow the super computer of decentralized devices. Lastly I don't think it will be too much work on their part to utilize this community, they already have the mining up and running it would just adding a small change to verify Steem accounts to the mining.

Personally I see this as a win win. But I know not everyone will agree, however you don't have to agree with me so leave your comments and suggestions below about this idea?

Hadron is in alpha, beta hasn't started yet. They're probably having an ICO. I don't see any point in this. They already have a massive list of people waiting to join their mining. I don't see any benefit for them or Steem to work together at the moment. The priority for Steemit Inc. should be to cut costs and then get SMT's finished. Adding more work will just complicate things.

Yeah this might not be a priority but it certainly would benefit both parties.

I do like the idea of communities working together. The timing is wrong now though

definitely in the future because not everyone can do everything better than everyone. If that makes sense hahah
