    So if I point out that the amount of steem on the market is going to increase dramatically after the fork, and that this increase can only act as a drag on the market price, i guess im just a huge party pooper

    EDIT -- i should correct myself -- the amount of steem on the market is going to increase dramatically 1 week after the fork, when the first larger, post-fork powerdowns start hitting peoples wallets. The week inbetween, the rate of increase should actually slow from what it currently is, due to decreased rewards for blogging and curation.

                Love the artwork, especially the "Christmas is early" version! I try to stay calm and not let my emotions get in the way of investment decisions at times like these, but it's hard not to feel some excitement with this hard fork. Interesting times ahead, I'm sure!

                                              Usually markets react before the news comes out. That's what we are seeing right now. I wouldn't be surprised if the price would drop tonight or tomorow. I don't really care, I'm here for the long term ... that said, I really enjoyed watching this last 48h chart.

                                              What does it make you think the price should keep on going up after the confirmation of the hardfork operation ?

                                                Being completely honest I have no clue what will happen. I just like to create graphics and comics, but they are not always 100% pure optimism like this one. For example this comic has an alt ending that is not too flattering. Moon posts tend to get a better response though and of course the moon is what I am REALLY wishing will happen.
