I do not know who said that phrase, but I would ask you: how do you go backwards if time does not have a reverse, what you said you can not pick up, what you did you can not undo and those who hurt can not erase your memory? Human beings do not forget and even if we decide to forgive, it will always remain in our memory what made us suffer. We are beings of wounds, we are beings of pain. We can decide to smile every day. But the scars can be seen at some point and rob us of peace.
We have only one decision and only one way. Accept that we all fail, that everyone is going to hurt us and that we still have to live.
