The unvotes were done in response to behavior I highly disagree with based on personal principle and decency. I composed a post about this regarding Growing Pains and Etiquette last night.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

    I thought Steem was about upvoting content, not a person behind it.
