The goal of Community Casino games is to have fun and possibly win some Steem/SBD in the process. We have experienced almost 150 entries weekly into the Poker and Omaha games.
The problem with this is that many are taking advantage of alts to increase their odds. While this was never disallowed, it will be now.
Note: This particular set of changes applies to Community Poker and Community Omaha HiLo only.
Reasons for this change
- Increase in likelihood of winning
- Fairer for everyone participating
- Possibility of increased pot values
- Less work on my end as far as maintaining the games
Ultimately the decision to act on this was made a few weeks ago, though I have been tracking alt accounts for many months. One of the main factors influencing this was the fact that alt accounts rarely have anything to offer to the game but are just as likely to win and thus hurt the odds of the people who only enter once.
I do not make much from these games. In the past every week was at a loss. Understand that I am not trying to get rich off of theses games but I am trying to at least break even.
I use bid bots to promote these games as well as hopefully get a tiny bit more profit from them to cover prizes. In the end I do not profit much. But I do love these games and the enjoyment that you guys tell me you get from playing, and for that reason I love having huge numbers of unique players. Yes... Unique. One person having 5 alts isn't satisfying.
I have done my best to be absolutely consistent, fair and make the games as fun and enjoyable as possible. I would say that I am sad that I need to set rules, but honestly this wont change the game much. If there are any legit players who cannot make the conditions, you are welcome to approach me on discord and maybe I can assist you.
I want to make it clear that this is by no means a punishment or judgement to those who have used alt accounts. You are of course welcome to continue playing. As I hope you do. I can say that I have many many alts to my name as well, so there is no hard feelings.
While I am not mad or judging by any means, I do ask to refrain from it now. I am very good at block chain forensics and I already have a list of alts as it is. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SLIP ONE BY ME. I may give one warning, but after that anyone who breaks the rules will most likely be banned from my games.
I really want your guy's opinions on this and take on how I can adjust these rules to make the game even better. Understand this is going to be a work in progress and most likely will be adjusted as time goes on.
Rules
- One account per person is allowed
- Account must have a rep of 35 or higher
- Account must have 10 SP (owned, not delegated)
- Any account (and all accounts related to) in violation of these may be banned from all CCasino related projects.

So what you are saying is my awesome winning streak was even more impressive because I beat out all the alt accounts? At least that's how I read it. ;)
Seems fair to me, everybody should have the same odds of winning when they sign up. Your game, your rules.

Sounds about right. But I actually thought you were an alt. These rules are from now on known as Chops rules. JK

Conspiracy theory: @chops316 is an "alt" to @nicnas.
Prove me wrong.

This change of rules is very good because there are many accounts that are used by 1 owner

good morning, excuse my bad English beforehand, it seems right that you establish rules for a person to simply enter with an account, but, I think there is a de facto rule in their rules, at least for my point of view, sponge My case :
I was the first person in the family circle to enter the community, little by little I was inviting a part of my family, and almost all of us agree, now I have nieces and my own wife who live the life on the page, I think those people have the same right to participate, so why exclude an account that does not have more than 10sp? that is very difficult, and more for people who have only been here for months, with a very low vote value as it has been in these months, the truth is difficult to reach 10sp, although that number seems very simple, I have My wife in this case, her user is @ gabriela24, also my nieces and nephews, who are active but their tickets have not been voted in such a way that they reach 10sp, I think that many people who have just started are excluded and we should prefer to search Encourage people to stay in the community
I think that sp rule excludes many people who enthusiastically put on their blog and platform but started with a coin and a low vote
I hope it is taken as an observation to see how you can find some way not to exclude these people, and at the same time justice is done with the issue of alternate accounts

Can you contact me in Discord? I can make some exceptions, as I knew that there are people who have accounts on steem just to participate in some of these games.

if I have, I already communicate and I pass the users of whom I speak to see if you can review their profiles, also talk to them to see if they could give their facebook to validate their accounts and they agree

Sounds fair enough!
Watch out for promobot also. Noticed you used to use that. It's changed its terms, check it's wall. It will no longer pay a profit at all.

Yeah, I only used them once and they got me. They lied about the max ROI as they said they had NONE, and refused to change that, but they make sure to only upvote at a loss. It is a scam, no matter what they claim to be doing.

Works for me, but then again, I have only one account.
So, I could create another account and up vote myself? Hmmmmm
Sounds like work!

Those seem more than fair rules for everyone that will make it a lot more difficult for scammers to get in.

You have my support on this changes, like anyone with a brain that doesn't have an alt account :D
