Using the Bitrefill service to buy a giftcard code first

Step 1: Blocktrades dot US

Blocktrades is still my favorite Crypto exchange service. (Even though I have to log in and all my transactions are being recorded. It is 'the law', you know.) Send some Steem and have LTC {Litecoin} in return. Which I receive in a Coinomi wallet. (Now working on all platforms.) Done in a jiffy, well close enough anyway. And I could have used DOGE {Dogecoin}, but Bitrefill does not accept it. But would it work? There was some doubt, as I live in Nederland, not in D(e)ut(s)chland {EN: Germany}. And we do not have an Amazon dot NL.

Buying stuff at Amazon dot DE works though. It even has a Nederish interface, besides a standard one in D(e)u(s)tch {EN: German}, of course. Ordering and receiving the goodies takes about two days. Amazing how fast that works. No customs declaring annoying things, one upside of an European Union. But how about using some Cryptos to buy stuff on Amazon. Well, with an inbetween step, buying a (digital!) Gift-Card (code). Would it be accepted by Amazon dot DE!?

An odd amount

First I did put the XP-Pen product in the Amazon App basket. Then I knew how much the Gift-Card value would need to be. Next it was time to use the Bitrefill service. Great to see they support Lightning Network for Litecoin and Bitcoin too. But I decided to go for paying with LTC {Litecoin} this time. ZERO confirmation...!? WOW, now that surely shows some trust in Litecoin.

It does cost a bit more than the amount of €uro to be received on the Gift-Card. But hey, it is a great service and Bitrefill needs to make some money too. (No expensive credit-card crap, never used them, never want to.) Making this article took me way longer than the whole proces, by the way. When Bitrefill showed me the payment link. After I clicked it the Coinomi Wallet picked it up and it got settled.

The magical code

One last thing, getting the code to work. And to make a long story short, so I can keep your attention, it worked like a charm! Delivery was free and a day earlier than Amazon stated. The tablet works great on Lubuntu Linux, so I am very pleased. One word of caution though. It is possible to buy an Amazon Gift-Card worth of 2000 €uro. You might try a 5 €uro one first though.

Bitrefill offers a great service and it helps to create a working Cryptoconemy. Also I find it fun to be able to keep some Steem rolling. What use would Cryptos otherwise have, other than merely storing value. Now I also spotted some 'Hotel' stuff, mobile phone prepaid and Netflix. That might come in handy too. But before you get some, be sure you can actually use it. (Links to the services I will put below the image.)
