Ask not what your SteemIt can do for you, but what you can do for your SteemIt!

"Ik bin oin OalDamster", somehow these quotes do have a certain ring to it. My official profession is in advertising, the section where it pays to sell dreams. And there are a lot of inspired spinoffs that hit the market. Playing with words, imagery and so on. Much about associated brainstorming, sometimes far beyond the goal. Always kept somewhere, never know when it might fit a future project. At some point I had this absurd idea, what if we where to start at campaign that was about nothing but just to buy. Commerce that went totally off scale, became a life force itself. Needed by a part of humanity just like water, food, clothing and shelter.

Out came: "Buy Bye" But the more my former collegue and I brainstormed about it, the weirder it got. Almost becoming a cynical kind of protest to where the common Western society had been evolving into. So it got filed away, as a satire, that we had a lot of fun just playing around with, until it got too serious. Allthough it still helpes me to put things back into perspective when I tend to see how humanity has the power to create it's own path to self destruction. And then I go: "Ah well, buy byeeeeee...!" It is not all gloom and doom, anyway. How did I get to these thoughts on a sunday morning in beautifull Oldambt? Yep, through association, the wonderfull way our mind works.

Had been doodling about with some SteemIt related objects for 3D printing. And I acctually was about to step away from SteemIt for a while, because in the real world things go on and on and on. So, starting tomorrow, the holiday is over, not been on vacation, allthough I could consider being active at SteemIt a virtual trip. Released an Award and a Mug design inspired by Steem posting on Graphene: SteemIt. And then I noticed that I had swaped the SteemIt logo colors. Also I was not very happy about the steep price for a mug. Back to the drawingboard then, again. But I need to wrap things up before this afternoon. My own family hardly recognizes me anymore...

And somehow these John F. Kennedy {JFK} quotes jumped in my mind, after 3 coffee, I think it was. Went to the office, kickstarted the GNU Linux, Ubuntu, computer and fired up my design software. Started at zero with the Graphene molecule. Threw it away, started again, had some Qbert( A 'wayback' game you can still play on some gaming computer Simulators) revival in a sense. And from a certain point of view it is a 3D box. Like it was used in some games from the past, and some modern ones still do use it. In other words, I was playing around with Graphene, Steem and SteemIt. Also, because I wanted to update my Steem Mug, so it would be at least 50% cheaper.

But first I want to share with you the Fruit Of Work {FOW}, from this morning. It can be freely downloaded as a SVG file from my BOX, used under Creative Commons BY SA license, so you can also use it to make some dough. And I guess that is why that title of this post came into my mind. Update on the mug will follow, allthough , when 3D printed in ceramic, it will be in one color, so the blue swap won't be noticed.

Enjoy my FOW and Steem On!

that statement is a bad one as i refers to people doing things for their government, i think the public as a whole has done enough ;) apart from that one little thing the post was amazing brother <3 well done man! i was saving up my upvote power its rather high again now nd i couldn't resist the urge to upvote :P

Thanks Bro, appreciate your reply! :-) Steem on!

Seems our titles had the Same source of inspiration: JFK.

I really like the designs on the bottom.

Glad you do. Thank you for your reply. If you want to use them, be free to do so!

I don't what i can do for Steemit but i know that i love my Steemit so much.

Post and Let others enjoy your work. ;-)

Hey. I didn't know you also do 3d modeling. The mug is pretty cool. It does make me think of the Olympic games.

Thanks Anca, the mug is indeed triggering an Olympic sensation. Noticed that when I was doodling a bit. And it's a hobby :-) Been fascinated by 3D in General for a Long time.

That's great! I also do 3d modeling but I haven't gotten anything 3d printed yet. I wanted to buy a 3d printer but they can be pretty expensive and I'm not sure it's worth it just as a hobby.

Have seen some of your 3d pen Art, like it a lot. Curious about your 3D work.

3D printing is extensive for luxerious materials but I guess still cheaper than ketting your design made by handcraft.

For me 3D printers are still too extensive to own.

I mainly do interior/exterior renders; sometimes furniture; I have never made 3d models for 3d printing. I was thinking about it but never got the time.

Time is an issue...

Hey I like your images. Might use them in some video animations. If I do I'll send you the links. Steem on....

Hi, Thanks!
Would be cool to see them appear in your video's. Looking forward to it.

Steem on!

Will do and follow me if you haven't already. I just followed you.

Done so too.

Our titles are inspired by the Same JFK Quote Yes...
