Null, Steem.DAO and SteemPeak.

A different way to be active on Steem.

Steem has matured quickly this year, as seen from my point of view. And it looks like 2020 is going to be a great year for the Social Media blockchain. As Smart Media Tokens {SMT} are just around the corner. (It is testnet ready already!) This will surely make things more interesting. Together with all the 'blockchain-engine' improvements this will give Steem a boost. Maybe there is no need to write about the pros and cons anymore. (For this I made an exception... 😁)

As I was looking for a way to support the Steem eco-system, l decided to move my post rewards to beneficiaries. When posting using the SteemPeak interface, as setting them there is quite easy. My choice is to have the Null address benefit 60 percent, Steem.DAO at 30 and SteemPeak at 10. As I think burning Steem, by sending it to the Null address, is a good thing. Besides that I think that the Steem.DAO support is important too. And SteemPeak just has the best UI and UX, which should be kept that way, I think.

No more payout for my own account!? That depends, when I use other interfaces for instance, that might be more difficult to manage. And as I have earned some Steem already in the past, which helped me and my family through some challenging financial times, I am more than okay with my choice. And I wanted it to be different from 'decline payout', so this seemed the most efficient thing to do. My current Steem Power (SP) level is enough for me to interact with the blockchain the way I want too.

Really looking forward to the SMTs. And what proposals are going to improve the Steemsperiance even more. Ending post payout in Steem / SBD might be a good idea. And instead give SMTs a purpose in that. But that is a subject for a different publication...
