Steem on Graphene, SonG for short, statue, 3d printable, maybe even in concrete

On a smaller scale might be a better idea first. The inspiration for this 3D printable design comes from 'Steem on Graphene', abbreviated to SonG. It sums up, in my opinion, what makes SteemIt tick. It is the Steem system on the Graphene Blockchain technology. Now it would be nice to have it made in diamond, but that might be a bit expensive, I guess.

The design does have a certain 'Olympic' feel to it. Symbolizing how the Graphene blockchain technology, in combination with the Steem system build upon it, has created a winning combination. The overall eradication of the 'statue' is one of strength. It depicts the amazing aspects of Graphene as a material, analogue to the wonders of the Graphene blockchain technology. Which the SteemIt community members got to enjoy in so many different ways, in just a short time. And it is a powerfull statue that states that there is no competition in the crypto realm that can even get close to 100.000 transactions a second.

You can download the STL file, for 3D printing, for free and even make money with it, because it is released with a Creative Commons BY SA license. Meaning free culture in effect.

A few days ago one was speaking in a post on the prizes that it might give to the best writers, the best post ... undoubtedly this one might be the design of the trophies.

Good work.

Regards!

Thank you @amartinezque, think this would do very well for an award. Vary in sizes, 3D printed in different materials. I can see it happen!

I made a quick visualisation on how it can be easier to print on your 3D printer if you want to get the model made at home or in the office. Rotate it on the X axis +90 or -90 degrees and add support material:

Great @cryptos, I have no expertice on that matter, maybe it is a good idea if you make posts about this? Let me know if you do, will advertise it. Thanks for your expert advice, do appreciate it!

Well, my 3D printing related posts so far did not generate a lot of interest and you seem to be the only other steemit users I have found for the moment to be into 3D printing. Maybe there are more lurking somewhere and being hard to find, so I need to do something in order to make them come out. Will do some more 3D printing related posts and try out to see what will happen :)

Think that is a cool challenge for you @cryptos, I know @anca3drandom is into 3d printing as well. And there are more. Find those 3d printing Steemers! Share your expertise on this matter.

May the Steem be with you! :-)

I can see this on my desktop in years to come when facebook is nothing but a distant memory, great job man A1

Thanks @themadmonk! It would look awesome on a desktop.

wow great work man!

would be cool if you integrated holes to put candle-sticks in, then this could be a useful object for the house. :)

Now there is a great idea @fyrstikken! Will work on something like that soon, thx mate!

Thanks @robok!

Now it would be nice to have it made in diamond, but that might be a bit expensive, I guess.

Diamond is actually an adamantane-type (tetrahedral) structural allotrope of carbon, so making it out of graphite would give it the graphene (hexagonal) structure you are looking for.

Notwithstanding, nice model!

Thanks @brendio! Noticed that when I wanted to use a diamond design into the next project I'm working on. They don't fit... Next design is done though.

You did a great design! Plastic is fine, no need for diamonds :)

Thanks @anca3drandom! You are right, diamond would perhaps be a bit over the top. ;-)

Great new work @oaldamster

This one however will be even more challenging to print on your home 3D printer even with support materials. Maybe it will be easier to print rotated than as it is standing at the moment with the help of quite a lot of with support material :)

For this one I was looking for a gold plated 3D print. Next time I will do another approach that is more towards home 3D printing, will keep your advice in mind.

Nice design! I've been working on a 3D Steem Award also, I just found your post and saw you had the same idea, pretty cool. Here's a post on some of the 3D prints i've done.
Cheers

Thanks @jpdimensions !

Did you have those printed in Belgium at https://i.materialise.com/ ?

Thanks @oaldamster, hope I can do something for this.

You are welcome!
