The other day @stoodkev wrote a post in which he brought a discussion to fund competent steemians to attend blockchain conferences across the globe and i believe it is worth doing so.
Steem doesn't lack development part, a lot of people are utilizing blockchain steem DAO in order to fund their ideas. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing this place prospering, however i would like seeing more efforts in bringing the masses and exposing steem to the masses.

After we made a consensus and agreed to change the curve, it seems that we finally hit the stage where majority is seeking to support those who bring value. Despite the fact we had a rough time recently, community understood that value needs to be created if aiming to increase the price of our stake.
The thing i like about steem is the fact that we are all equally responsible for its success and once we start understanding that, things might change for the better.
Promoting steem via blockchain conferences is the best way to go, at least i like to think that way. Word of mouth is powerful thing, more powerful than we think it is.
After all, in a few months from now we will provide the easiest and cheapest way for one to create cryptocurrency. It is a big deal, not needing to create smart contracts is fucking brilliant and we need to shill the shit out of this. Imagine being able to create your own valuable asset without a need to pay expensive development and still have the ability to make a lucrative community in which you get to decided what rules are to be created.
I'm looking forward seeing further and more detailed proposal from @stoodkev and hopefully so does the whole community.
