I believe the true value of Steem can only be realized when, as you say "the minnows will rise to power!" While I certainly hope this to be the case in the near future, the relative power of whales and inherent Greed of users for curation rewards, forces posts from only the largest to prosper.
Now certainly, there are unicorns who have been able to hit terminal velocity on this site without lots of Steem power, but as I've seen it, it's fairly rare.
I'm normally inclined to play devils advocate, and am defintely interested to hear your take on why whales will "doom soon"? While I think whales losing some power is an imperative step if Steemit is to grow, my question is how?
Thanks so much!

As the platform continues to grow, and the when the big whales will be able to trade their reserved funds ( Steem power) after two years, majority of the whales will trade their Steem power in a very short span of time. This is what I call the doom of the whales.
