Thanks for all the steem statistics. I think it's important for all of us to know this information. @tipu curate . But is that true that poloniex removed steem from their exchange, or not yet ?

Yes, Poloniex delisted Steem unfortunately.

From their website:

Poloniex is beginning the process of delisting Pascal (PASC), Steem (STEEM), Navcoin (NAV), GameCredits (GAME), LBRY Credits (LBC), and Clams (CLAM). Here are some important dates to keep in mind:

  • October 15th at 16:00 UTC: trading of PASC, STEEM, NAV, GAME, LBC and CLAM will be disabled
  • November 15th at 16:00 UTC: PASC, STEEM, NAV, GAME, CLAM withdrawals will be permanently disabled

Interesting, just after that bittrex also asked from all traders to accept the new terms of Global bittrex instead of international. I'm not aware, are there any regulations and exchanges started to make some changes ? Or it's just a coincidence that Poloniex was sold and Bittrex is changing something, almost at the same time.

Low volume coins that aren't a pure currency are being delisted everywhere because of new regulations.

Extremely useful information. Although, Steem never actually leaves the ecosystem so if an exchange that lists Steem were to get royally hacked, the Steem would be effectively "beached" if the hacker(s) tried to sell the Steem above board. Can't move that much through blocktrades at once, and the community would be able to track the movement of every transaction and where the Steem went. I mean, the end result is the same because dum-dums storing coins on an exchange are still left empty-handed, but the thought of knowing there's a Steem account with Millions of Steem just sitting there, and some of it had your name on it... Just that thought alone is a big enough deterrent for me. It's good there are bright minds hard at work creating Steem-engine and other means to move and exchange Steem that exist inside the ecosystem.
