Steemit Inc has spoken not once, not twice, but three times over.
I had a great audience for my special 'Look Foward to 2019' show on MSP Waves.
And STEEM is still holding around $0.28 (at least it's not falling).
Steemit Inc Awakens
Just like buses three posts have come along from Steemit Inc all at once.
They are dipping their toes in the advertising waters.
They are updating the DevPortal.
They are making some API changes.
All good stuff I am sure-ish.
CoinMama and Coinbase - Steem is ready and waiting
Steem needs to get on more exchanges.
@eaglespirit has opened a dialogue with CoinMama.
@jrcornel believes there is an opportunity opening wider for Steem to get on Coinbase.

The Dark Overlord has moved to Steem
The Dark Overlord hacker group @thedarkoverlord, after being banned from Twitter and then Reddit, has just moved to Steem, with the help of @ausbitbank.
The group, known previously for leaking episodes of Netflix’s Orange is the New Black, apparently have a massive cache of secret 911 related documents from the US Government and Lloyds of London. They are offering the documents in return for payment in Bitcoin.
This may certainly help turn the spotlight on the censorship resistance of the steem blockchain.

Great information! It’s exciting to see movement in development. I think the Mechanical Turk idea could get some traction but the development would be substantial and there is still the problem of driving traffic.

A developer has already offered to develop a steem version of MTurk.
Traffic isn't an issue as it is a 'private site'. The problem would be getting the tasks in. Not sure of the sales process for that.

Most of this sounds great, but the hackers finding a safe haven on Steemit, I am not sure how I feel about that. It just makes Steem look bad and who knows, could mean exchanges delist Steem in protest of harbouring a hacker group that openly admits to being motivated by money and not altruistic motives.
Let's wait this out and see just how good this is for Steemit, my guess is that it's not that good at all.

Good for Steemit Inc to finally contemplate ads, hate to say it but what ever is necessary at this point.
I have been pushing an idea from time to time for DTube to allow ads from creators, I’d do a few ads just for kicks 😅

This was an encouraging post, so much fud and depression lately... People acting like steem is dead and it isnt. Its the most active blockchain per daily users, and among the highest in trans/day.
