I see some people being negative about the Instagrammers signing up. It's not the sort of content some expect to see on Steem, but there is a market for it and Steem should have a slice of that. People who come for the selfies may have other things to offer. We need to reach some critical mass and we are a way off that still. Of course it would be good to see these ladies verify who they are to satisfy the doubters, but Appics have been around long enough to deserve some trust. Have you spoken to them at all?

Instagram type apps are not really my cup of tea - but I believe Steem needs to keep an open door to all comers.

I have met some of them, but I don't think I'm cool enough to hang out with them :) I just think Steem is desperate for users and this is an option. We don't want to scare them away.
