What about CURATION rewards?

in steem •  7 years ago

Although I register here @steemit in September 2017 I actually become an active member by mid October 2017 and by active I mean writing content and practicing curation/upvoting/interaction with posts, which is the subject of this post.

Why are there many steemians who does not bother about curation rewards?

There are many steemians that I follow and/or interact with that does not bother to upvote anybody posts or comments really.

Each one of us have 12 times - 100% power to upvote and contribute to each other wealth daily.

As we know a steemian can either interact with a post, and/or upvote it and follow you.

For a matter of upvote value, as an example, a minnow has a 17.000 Steem Power
which = US$ 0.01 cents upvote rewards value at 100% power every 2 hours, meaning that a minnow can add back to @steemit community US$0.12 cents every single day.

Is it that much? Not really, but it is so a beginners value.

Following that simple example you can do the maths of any other amount of Steem Power yourself.

As we pay attention, there are steemians who with 3.000.000 Steem Power or
US$1.50 - 100% upvote power value every 2 hours - 12 times each 24 hours cycle, who does never upvote anybody posts or comments.

Sure at first what prevails is the free will of each steemit subscriber, but why these steemians does not curate or upvote content, replies and interact with the community?

A steemian with 5.000.000 is able to make a difference every 2 hours at a 100% upvote power of US$2,50 value .

Why is it? Is it a lack of knowledge about the platform rewards system, or is it simply the greed, the vampire behaviour of only taking it to himself/an or herself kind of attitude never giving back?

The @steem app steemnow is a great tool designed specially to help steemians manage their upvote reward power and it is very simple to use.

teemit App.jpg

You ad your username - https://steemnow.com/@ xxxxxxxxxxx and the app tells you your
% percentage voting power, Steem value, SBD value, SP value, latest curation rewards, latest author rewards and latest posts.
It also shows you the Steem value of the day, I mean all of this information at any time.

Then following the right calculation you are now able to upvote, interact, make great curation yourself and add value to it and literally to the steemit community as a whole cycle of giving and receiving.

Often I see steemians with tremendous power value to upvote a post or a comment (12.000.000 Steem Power) and rather than explore it's 12 times - 100% power in the value of US$ 6,00 per 100% upvote, they do scattering upvotes of US$ 0.01 cents each, once a day and sometimes once a week.

I believe some sort of ethical behavior should prevails to what many emphasize as a community.

THE MINNOWS GREED

The minnows greed are also another issue when we think about curation and rewards value.

Those kind of beginners who whatever rewards received, withdrawal it almost instantaneously, meaning that their upvote value would never increase as they are not really bothering about the sustainability of the platform, or of @steemit as a whole giving & receiving reward ecosystem.

Those type of steemians minnows self upvote all of their posts and thanks for the power of blockchain transparency we can easily spot these types of users, those types of minnows who somehow exploit the @steemit platform for few cents of dollars like vampires, and egotistically want to satisfy their own ego sufficiency in exchange for few cents.

Interesting so is the openness of steemit platform and the blockchain transparency because as the time goes by each are somehow showing their true nature trough the platform.

Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post.

Wow, very nice insight. Thanks that helps me as I am trying to analyse this platform. Though I have a question when someone upvotes your post or comment, the "$" unit that is displayed besides the amount is "USD" or "SBD"?
I would appreciate if you could resolve my query. Thanks in advance.

USD...

Thank you, appreciate it.

Thanks for the post . You got me with the "Minnows Greed" that was hilarious but so true. I've decided not to look at what people earn and just focus on the awesome content and congratulate the author for it . Simple task as you said !
