Exactly. The Steem blockchain isn't great about curation, and many people use a feed that just shows the newest posts by authors at the top, so posting often (don't over do it) is a huge part of being successful here.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
