Steemit is a lot better than so many social network out there owing to the fact that a lot of users on here as so dedicated to improving the features of this platform. The compensation plan is also interesting, but I think it would make us feel a lot better if everyone just came here to have fun blogging and interacting, rather doing it all for the love of SBD! lol. I have a lot of friends who have dumped their accounts simply because they aren't earning after 2 months of posting. This is where we learn. Learning comes first, earning follows!
