I agree. It could be a better way to increase visibility, maybe ... but make it more social? I think not.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards

  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
