Amazing. Probably the fastest growth of any forum anywhere.

Maybe but I also see a lot of users disengaging or giving up soon after joining.

People are drawn in by the promise of big riches or at least getting decent rewards for their content.

Right now it is just a whale lottery though and if you don't win after making quality posts it does become very disheartening.

I just joined today. Happy to be on board.
I'm pretty sure the Community will grow even faster from day to day

If account creation was easier we would hit over 100,000 users.

50,000 strong and growing.... lol

I think it could go much faster than this. 1000 users per day is peanuts. For something as groundbreaking as this, we should be hitting 10k+ per day or 50k per day. I guess we must find out why this isn't happening at that pace.

(Ok my expectations are high, shoot me :P)

People think it's a scam because even though they have nothing to lose. But as their friends start using it and show them how real it is, they'll get here too :)

I guess you have a point: It's so good that it's unbelievable... triggering "too-good-to-be-true" reactions.

And we are already onboard! Hoist the sails! 1 billion here we come!

Great! I hope in a couple of months we reach 100k, the community is growing very faster.

@ranko-k Great post! And to think mere days ago we were only at 30,000! It is the only quality-ensured social platform, while remaining equally powerful as a media platform. Steemit is validated by your social standing and past performance as an author and curator, which, in turn, ensures that a user will continue to grow and contribute in significant and positive ways. As a community, this is why we will always have better content than Facebook, Twitter, (the dying) Reddit ;), Instagram, or any other platform which puts socializing as the primary purpose without any focus on the depth of the content. Whether it is the passion or the incentivation, Steemit is indeed perched to pounce on any existing social-media platform and deliver what they are providing to the public, even better. Upvoted!
