Comments, lets talk about comments.

So, you are new to Steemit, and you are running through the new and trending posts, trying to get noticed...right? Well, don't just fucking write "Nice post" or "Great post" or "Thanks for posting". Dammit, that isn't helpful or thought provoking or interesting. You might as well just hit the little upvote and hope the author reads back through who upvoted and use that to find you...

So, Regor, what should I do?!?!

Don't be a time waster, really. When you comment, PLEASE put some thought into it. That doesn't mean you need to write a novella or something...you can make a comment about the post. On this post, a simple reply would be something like...."I totally agree, it feels like half the comments on here lack substance" or something like that. Its super easy, its personal, it makes sense! If its your own post, its OK to just say "thanks" back to something like this, if the original commenter isn't trying to engage in a discussions...this makes sense.

I'm not sorry for the rant

This platform is good, but the amount of bullshit, low value-low effort writing on here is terrible. This, every time you don't put any effort in, its like kicking steem in its blockchain nuts...The morale of the story is...be cool.
