Thursdays Weekly Meet-ups:

We meet up on Thursdays in the middle of the city to share the food we've saved during the week. It's a great way to meet, connect and support each other. We meet between 6-7 pm at the same time as the decentralized farmers market that I've initiated!

I've got great plans for 2018 and beyond and intend to work hard to achieve it. The Steem blockchain is the perfect place to create positive change as it rewards individuals that contribute to the community and humanity at large. I am wholeheartedly dedicated to using and promoting this platform and my intention is to create solutions to our current predicament and unite humankind once and for all...

I regularly invite people over to share the abundance which I've been doing for many by now and nowadays I of course take the opportunity to introduce them to the Steem blockchain!^^

    Wow! I'm wandering who is throwing away all this good food! Why? Is it coming from supermarkets, when it's past the expiration date? One other question in my mind... is this food always safe? Safe to share with others?

    always safe in my experience but you should fc always use your senses to decide if soemthing is good to eat or not...

        I absolutely LOVE what you are doing here! It is an extremely sad truth that humans waste a ridiculous amount of food every single day. Large supermarkets and corporations throw out fresh/edible food on a daily basis instead of donating it to the millions of hungry people in our neighborhoods/country.

            thank you @intelliguy and that is so true. Just found like 10 big fish and a shipload of other meats, fruits and vegs just discarded not because of it going bad but because of extreme overproduction and buying in much more than they can ever sell...

                  Damn, that is a lot of food saved up. I go shopping once a week to get only what I need for that week. So, I keep my print as small as I can. Things that don't get used right away get frozen for later.
