I would like to announce I am a proud new mama of a bunch of "baby" STEEM coins, and like any new mama... I have questions.

I am on Binance exchange and with everything going to hell in crypto this month I am losing heart to keep up with frantically day trading in and out of bitcoin every time it throws a tantrum and plummets.  just to keep my investment from losing value... I am amused that the only day trading I have developed the most skill in - and the only time I actually make any money is when bitcoin crashes. its exhausting, emotional, and detail oriented as well as time consuming . For me when the bots are not going crazy and the market is not having massive drama because of one thing or the other... the numbers don't fluctuate enough and fast enough for me to make evaluations as accurate as when crypto blood is dripping down the screen.

Anyways... I would have thought I had it in me to be up for the last few days of bitcoin tantrum but I do'nt. I'm kind of over it. So I was about to just cash out and move on with my life, and noticed that STEEM had finally been listed on binance. I made a " awww what the hell" expression on my face and instead of cashing out, I traded in all my coins for STEEM and closed my computer.
Today I compared the value of STEEM coin on binance to Steemits exchange and saw that it is worth about 10-15 cents less on binance. If I plan on quitting day trading with the intention of holding my STEEM coins for the long run, (or at least until I become interested in day trading again)... Do you think it would be wiser to just move all my STEEM coins from binance and deposit them into my Steem wallet here? I could exchange them for steem power right? And isn't that suppossed to be a good thing if you blog on Steemit.com?
I am so new to steemit.com, with lot's to learn.  I enjoyed the white paper, and found the general attitude of the steemit design to be refreshing, and honest. No promises, have fun with it... and hey if you happen to make some money that's cool too.
It reminded me of a loving parent encouraging there child to go explore, have fun  and get some exercise  and fresh air while they are at it.
That said, I feel like steemit.com has a bright future in the years to come. I feel safe with my money in STEEM. I dont expect to become rich overnight, maybe never at all from my STEEM coins, but I do feel like I no longer need to babysit my crypto investments  24 hours a day like I did with every other coin I have invested in.
I think of  my STEEM coins like growing, playful kids that are getting stronger and learning more and more with each passing day. I  look forward to watching them grow up, finding themselves and happiness and feel  a sense of pride with each step of growth they learn.
Yes, I am a new proud mama of a growing collection of "baby" STEEM coins. Like any mama- when my lil ones fall down and get hurt... I too feel hurt. But like any mama, I won't abandon them because they were naughty one day. I will hold them in my heart, and have there lil backs, and not leave there side until they are all grown up and no longer need there mama... and I will say good luck and wish them the best with there new families![20180203_020457.png]()
