How Steemit CURED my Apple Addiction -- #SteemitConfessions

I have a confession to make. I am an addict. Not of any drugs or alcohol. But of a brand; a company. Yes, I am an Apple addict. Or I WAS! Because that has now been cured. :)

So, here's the thing. I was head over heels, mad about ALL THINGS APPLE. Right from the time I woke up in the morning, till the time I went to sleep, I would probably check any and every news that I could find on the internet. I just HAD to know! Be it genuine, business news about sales figures, stock, new stores, etc OR rumours, I read them all. I spent hours reading articles that had even remotely anything to do with Apple. This was having negative impacts on my productivity. I couldn't focus on other things in life. Even with my friends, I would bring up the topic of Apple so much that they were getting wary of me!

But Steemit has apparently cured that. Since I've joined Steemit, I have been so focused on writing good, original content that I have barely had time to check in on Apple news. It has been 7 days now! I realised this just today. I hadn't read any juicy Apple rumours for 7 days!! Although I had posted a leaked video of an iPhone 7 model on Steemit, that was it! I didn't read about it or investigate it further. That was it! I felt so liberated.

I was able to replace a harmful/bad habit with a productive one. And I am really glad that I am being able to do so. Now, I spend most of my time with content creation. And I am happier than ever. Instead of fighting with Android fans in the comment section of tech sites, I have healthy discussion with Steemians! This has resulted in a growth of knowledge, enhanced creativity, and also some money!! :D
