How is steem not a bubble?

I'm new to this site, like most of you probably. I plan on posting here occasional about various topics like currents events, philosophy or whatever random shit I find interesting at the time.

I have to admit I'm new to cryptocurrency and very ignorant of how this all works...But

If a shit ton of people like me are joining this site everyday and new steem is always being generated, isn't that massive inflation going to make steem worthless as a currency? Everyone on here seems to follow and upvote things based on how popular they already are to try and earn some steem off of it but how long can that really last before it crashes?

I believe the annual inflation is 10%
Hardly a problem now in view of the growth of the Steemit network.
