Replublic India turns 69th today
The constitution was adopted by Indian constitution on November 26 1949, and come into effect on 26th January 1950. This year marks 69th Republic of India
What it means to Indians
Every year on January 26 Republic day is celebrated across the whole nation in order to mark the occasion as a sign of complete independence from British rule & marking our own rules and laws written by 'Dr BR Ambedkar'. With the Indian constitution coming into force India was no long constitunational monarchy under George king VI
Celebrations
The main republic day is held in New Delhi, on this day for the first time Government of Maharashtra held the lines of Delhi republic day, along the entire stretch of Marine drive .
The parade showcases India's Defence Capability, Cultural and Social Heritage
The president of India Ram Nath Kovind who is also chief commander of "Indian Armed Forces" shares his valueable thoughts of this day and addresse people about a better living in the coming days/years
History Repeats itself
Just as I was watching the beautiful parade in the morning, I also noticed that this year on India's Republic Day we also have many leaders from the 'ASEAN' summit, when India celebrated it's first republic day, the president of Indonesia Sukrano was present, after 68 years India has again invited current Indonesian President Joko Widodo along with these Head states from Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore Myanmar, the Phillipines, Cambodia and Loas will be the chief guest.
