The Steemit Gift Economy

in steem •  7 years ago

Hi,
I agree that the majority of income made in Steemit is through investment strategies or other activities which are based on more traditional capitalistic practices. I think one of the advantages of Steemit is that the economy provides or allows for multiple paths to success and potentially wealth. I am searching for, learning about and attempting to utilize many of those pathways. I would be very interested in hearing your thoughts about the capitalistic pathways.

Um yeah. lol Basically people want to earn rewards on here so that is why they are here. Steem loses most of it's users because the users do a capitalistic analysis and determine they are not making money so they leave.
Do you use @dustsweeper?

No I am unfamiliar with it. I will follow the link to learn more. Do you use it?
Thanks for the suggestion.

No I have to use regular bots to be able to upvote myself.

I read in s post that I should use only 95% voting power when upvoting my self to avoid being flagged by bots which discourage self upvotes. Do these bots really exist and is that 95% figure correct?
Thanks

They might exist. I know one of the people I talk to on here does it all the time. I think you can upvote yourself 100% but you might want to do the same for others as well.
When you upvote and then unvote you don't get any voting power back. FYI

Okay, thank you.
I didn’t you you didn’t get any upvote power back when you upvote, then upvote. I sometimes do that when I see how small my upvote is, so I try to undo it and come back later. Thanks for letting me know. I would prefer to upvote myself 100% to maximize my daily return.

Yeah it seems like you should get it back when you unvote but you don't. Did you sign up for @dustsweeper?

I haven’t yet. I am undecided if I should spend the Steem since I usually upvote my own posts above the dust limit?
