Aloha Steemers!
It's me again, Jayson your favorite Hawaiian Steemer :)
Today I'm bringing you my second SERIOUS post on Steemit and one that I highly recommend you read all the way through because what has just happened to me as a result of being on this platform for a little over 3 days is BEYOND anything I've ever experienced in my life before.
Of course I'm going to start out once again by telling you how freaking excited I am to be on Steemit. And If you're not taking this thing seriously yet, now would be a good time to do so...
Let me start out by saying, I'm nothing special really. I definitely don't rank in the top 10% of brains that are within this community, and in all honesty I'm quite the crypto-newbie but recognizing trends and going with my gut is something I've always been good at and honestly anyone can do if they're paying attention.
I also want to be completely upfront with you by saying I'm not sharing my results with you to brag, I'm definitely not about the money, in fact once you earn enough money in your lifetime and you personally realize it is not the answer to all of your problems you'll completely understand where I'm coming from.
However, If There's One Thing I do Value In Life it's FREEDOM.
Yes! I wake up like this...A good friend snapped this shot of me and my dog Maverick yesterday, fuck the rat race! This is my morning routine : )
Where was I? Oh yeah, FREEDOM! The freedom to do what I want, with whom I want, wherever I want. Without ever being told what to do by a boss, by a spouse, by a religious or political leader.
And I also love more than anything to be a part of a something that completely DISRUPTS the status quo, especially when it comes to new technologies like Steemit that have the capability to completely take down the existing power structures of our world that have all been robbing us blind for god nows how long.
I got really inspired by reading the co-creator of Steemit @ned's Introduce Yourself post lastnight, if you haven't read that I highly recommend you do so as soon as possible. I share so many common threads within it's not even funny from religious indoctrination, to wanting completely to do away with things like taxes, government, etc.
If there's one thing in common I've noticed about all the Steemers I've had the privilege of interacting with so far it's that they are all in their own way ANARCHISTS!
Now, I've never been one to relate to any social identity, and trust me I've tried. In high school I tried being a skater, a gangster, a hippie, a cowboy (yes even a cowboy haha!) but I never really fit into any of those categories but if there's one social concept I can relate to as of late it's anarchy.
And I'm happy to know that I'm not the only one here that feels the same way. It seems to me that Steemit is going to be a hub for people that never quite fit the mold, and I believe it's these people that will change the world.
Ok, now that I've got you emotionally invested and have your attention I want to share with you exactly how I was able to make close to $10,000 USD within my first 72 hours on this platform.
And who couldn't use an extra $10,000 bucks? And before I get some holier than now hater saying I'm all about the money let me just say that I drive a fucking Toyota mini-van and live in shack in Hawaii!
I don't give a rats ass about owning or driving a Ferrari, I just want to be here hanging with cool folks like you participating in this revolution.
In fact, by the time I publish this post I'm sure I will surpass the $10,000 mark and by next week maybe $100,000 grand who knows... Why?
Because The Velocity of Money Is Speeding Up!
Well, it wasn't by writing although I've been doing that as well. You see I had some extra Bitcoin sitting in Bittrex and I saw that STEEM was trading for .49 cents so I said screw it and exchanged that 1.5 Bitcoin or whatever it was for some STEEM.
Within about an hour after that I saw that STEEM was now trading at .71 cents, so I said "fuck it" and immediately exchanged my DAO for it as well. Yes, I invested in the DAO, no I'm not going to sit around and wait for those guys to get their shit together when something like this is happening so I exchanged that too.
THEN, I Decided To Make A Post About It On Facebook And That's When Things Really Started To Get Crazy! (see below...)
One of the comments in the post was from my friend @Rok-Sivante who was my original exposure to Steemit. My initial thoughts about Steemit were honestly, good luck. I'm doing well on Facebook why would I ever bother with something else when I've basically mastered Facebook's paid ads platform?
Anyways, Rok said you probably should convert your STEEM to SteemPower because STEEM is actually inflationary so I went against myself in a way and converted all my Steem to Steempower, (doh!).
At the time I wish I wouldn't have done that but now I'm glad I did because it committed me to putting some skin in the game here long-term and also forced me to write. Which is now allowing to share my success with you in hopes you will be inspired by it and follow in my foot steps at whatever level you can.
But needless to say I was upset that I didn't have anymore Steem.
So Then I Took An Even Bigger Risk...
So, I took the last $2k worth of Bitcoin I had and bought some more STEEM again, this time at .71 cents a share.
Needless to say it paid off BIG time because as of right now STEEM (the currency) is being traded for $2.67, WOW!
I fact I just snapped this Screenshot of what that equates to in US Dollars.
And you know what the best part is?
This Is Only The BEGINNING....
I've wrote a few posts here so far and managed to get my first serious post to the #1 spot on Steemit, that earned me an additional $400 overnight.
All for something I did in about an hour and in all honesty had a great time doing it!
The craziest part is that last week I couldn't get my brain to stop saying Bitcoin, Bitcoin, Bitcoin.
And now that's all changed! My new mantra is officially STEEMIT, STEEMIT, STEEMIT!
Oh, and here's what my friend @Rok-Sivante had to say after I continued to post the price of Steem and what I was doing on my original Facebook thread...
Suck it Rok! Haha, just kidding :)
Anyways, now I've got friends asking me to invest for them because of that Facebook post, people are calling me, this is just plain NUTS!
But the coolest part is that I'm re-investing a lot of it directly back into more SteemPower. I in no way, shape or form plan on selling this off for a profit. I might withdraw some but I'm still working my ass off in my other businesses as well.
I don't see Steemit or STEEM as a lottery ticket at all, I just feel like we're all at the beginning of something our minds can't even fully grasp yet, so I am taking action on it, being resourceful with the resources I have at my disposal.
And you know what I haven't told you yet?
I Could Easily Lose It All In An INSTANT...
Yep, something could happen. A bug in the platform, a hack, some negative press or a huge sell-off.
However, just like life it's about the journey and what I learn along the way and even more importantly how much FUN I have doing it, and let me tell you I'm having an absolute blast!
Also, it helps that I'm not super attached to money, it's caused me a lot of problems in life, lots of struggle, divorce, fights, etc. And I think all the lessons from that pain have helped me finally position myself in a place to receive lots of it.
Let's face it, we live in an entirely new world my friends, you're witnessing a first hand account of the insane potential of this platform.
Where Will We All Be 6-12 Months From Now If Things Keep Up Like This?
Hopefully on some private island somewhere enjoying the fruits of our labor! (Oh, wait I already am, well hopefully you'll be here with me!)
No doubt, There's going to be some major influencers and players attracted to Steemit and you, me, and everyone else here are going to be a part of making history, TOGETHER!
So if you're still sitting on the fence, I hope this post pushed you over the edge and motivated you to put your Bitcoin where your mouth is like I did.
Do it. You'll be glad you did!
Aloha,
Jayson
p.s. I'm not ashamed, I'm actually proud to ask you for an upvote or 2 for this post. I put a lot of working into putting this together for whoever reads it to benefit from it and I hope you do!
p.s.s. Stay tuned for my next post as I'm going to be sharing with you my complete A-Z Bitcoin story, my best friend that got me involved in it (yep! that's him hanging out with Sir Richard Branson himself who's a big believer in Bitcoin) and how I've been mining it, earning it, and living exclusively off of it for the past 3 months. Stay tuned...
Awesome to see it going good for ya bro!
All your information you've posted so far is great.. just like all the stuff you've always posted on Youtube :D

Great post! Can you explain more in detail about why we should/shouldn't convert from Steem to Steem Power?

@niquebs, from my understanding SteemPower gives you more authority and voting power. Plus it's a long-term investment in the platform, that in the end is much more valuable than Steem. I am invested in both and riding the wave of momentum of the launch of this platform. We really don't know what to expect or where it's headed, it's a risk but a fun one.

You almost lost me at the now that I have you emotionally vetted/attention part, I swear you were going to try and sell me some tupperware or a weight-loss shake. I'm glad I stayed to read the rest. I can't wait to read about more of your adventures with Steem.
