What is the #1 change needed for Steem - Win $20+ upvote

I think the one improvement that would drive a higher Steem price is improving the reward system by distributing the reward pool by a greater degree to more content creators so that the rewards do not get concentrated in only content that has the support of large holders of Steem. If the reward pool was spread over more content creators and the content they produce then the platform would likely see more content being created. I think right now the best content is not necessarily getting credit through the reward pool, I find that a lot of content that simply has the support of some rich whales is taking a huge portion of the reward pool. This flaw discourages content creators to produce content on Steemit. There may be other solutions to improving Steemit but I think the key to it being successful is by it continually reforming how the reward pool is distributed so that it attracts the best content. By doing this the content should get better and this will in turn drive growth in users of the platform. With more users demand for Steem tokens should increase thus causing the price of Steem to increase on the open market. Incentives drive everything, for the same reason why capitalism has outperformed communism. If we continue using a flawed reward system then it opens the platform to competition from a platform that better rewards content creators.
