It's a steep learning curve indeed for a newbie! I'm learning though - great you're giving some extra attention to newcomers, it's much needed!

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
