Buying STEEM
If Steemit had an option to buy STEEM or Steem Power directly from the site with their debit/credit card would this make it easier for people to start using Steemit.. or at least motivate more people to buy Steem Power since it would be easier?
Sites like Coinbase offer the ease of using a debit card, and buying Bitcoin easily, but most people are forced to pay the high BTC transaction fees when using Bitcoin!
If we had a way to buy STEEM directly from the site wouldn't it be easier to verify people since they already had to verify themselves to sign up?
Selling STEEM
Now selling should be just as easy!
I have seen so many people so excited to buy cars, and pay their rent with STEEM, but still some of us are forced to transfer to cards like Shift or Bitpay..
But what if we had a STEEM debit card like the Shift card has for Coinbase..
That would allow anyone the ability to take their card and use STEEM right out of their account instead of messing around with exchanges and not getting our deposits (like with Poloniex).
Conclusion
So all in all I am sure this is something the Steemit team has either thought of or are working on (hopefully) and I'm sure with features and upgrades continuing to be added to the site, Steemit will definitely be a site to see as we grow!

Another bonus would be that people would no longer have to worry about their Steem being lost on an exchange transaction or the user typing in the wrong address when sending to or from the site.

Dude i am ALL for this. The integration would be a game changer. Give it time, im sure it will happen to some extent. However, half the point is to keep some of the money here within the platform I think so the founders may not want to push the limits too much just yet

Like most crypto currencies, Steemit will get there soon. If the value and community continues to grow, it would not be long for Coinbase to support it. Also as the network grows, with more and more applications being built on it.
