Which Cryptocurrency is the best? That´s the question everyone wants to get an answer on but I really don´t get why only so few are thinking of Steem in that regard. Yeah, maybe Steem isn´t one of the Top 10 cryptocurrencies based on marketcap or price but it´s definitely leading in every single other aspect!

Steem vs. Bitcoin - Let´s Get Ready To Rumble!

Some might think that this doesn´t sound like a fair fight and I can really only agree with that assumption as poor old Bitcoin will be taken down easily by our beloved Steem. You definitely can´t call it a fair fight but rather compare it to the one between David & Goliath.

While the Communities of both coins are both active and can most likely be assumed to be on an equal level the transaction fees are already kicking Steem straight in Top as there´s no chance that Bitcoin is ever able to compete with fee-less transfers, which are happening in less than 3 seconds!

Actually a closer look reveals that Steem is already performing twice as many transactions per day compared to Bitcoin. Taking into consideration that Steem is much younger it just shows how rapidly its Blockchain is growing these days.

Now what if you´d be told that Steem is only running at a capacity of 0.1% at the very moment. Yes, you´ve heard correctly steem is performing ways better with a fragment of it´s actual capabilities than Bitcoin does on 100%. I think that being said there´s nothing to discuss anymore about the winner of this fight....

Bitcoin Stays, But Steem Will Change The World!

So what´s the overall conclusion out of the above facts? It´s that Bitcoin is here to stay, but that Steem will Change the world and actually is already doing so. Projects just like Utopian.io and the countless charity projects on the platform are without a question improving the lifes of many!

Personally I keep holding and investing in Bitcoin as it´s simply the flagship and most known cryptocurrency out there at the very moment, which will eventually have it reach new all time highs over the next months. Anyways my focus for sure is on Steem due to it´s huge potential!

That being said I´ve just recently increased my Power Up activities massively as I don´t want to miss out on being a valuable part of an awesome future!

Long live Steem!

Great post @steembusiness.

I agree with you. Many seem to think that BTC will wither away and die. It will not. It is going to be an active blockchain although perhaps not one of the leading ones. I have faith the developers on there will figure things out to a degree. They will increase the speed and the costs will come down.

That said, there is no contest. Like I wrote yesterday, STEEM is in the lead out of the gate and could well lap most of the field. The speed that bitcoin might get to will never rival STEEM....now will it ever be free to send a transaction.

STEEM's biggest asset right now, aside from the community, is that it is a utility token...people get paid for using the blockchain. This is the model going forward for tokens.

I´m convinced that Bitcoin will soon see the lightning network being implemented so that transaction costs will only be a fraction of what they are today. Bitcoin has been called dead many times already but it always survived. It´s as well not as easy as many think to run such a huge project. You can´t simply change everything without proper consensus and testing as doing so would most likely crash everything...

Anyways, I´ll keep stacking Steem and will further power up my account as I see a long term future for this Blockchain. It´s a sleeping giant if you ask me :)

I believe steam is a lot more viable then some of the random tokens (Kodak just announced they are starting their own crypto) I think once the platform continues to grow the Steem price should grow steadily as well.

The Steem price will definitely grow further in case the Community and steem users overall continue to grow :)

I hope that steem get listed on binanve and other exchanges so that we get more volume and market capitalization

I think that´s something we´re all hoping for. I actually don´t get why many exchanges aren´t doing that already. It´s one of the biggest cryptos in regards to its daily usage, so that would just be logical after all...

I could generate a new crypto that spams transactions into its blockchain 24/7. A high transaction volume doesn't actually mean something useful has been accomplished.

Yes, SteemIt has lots of transactions, but the average value of most of those transactions is close to zero.

I BELIEVE in Steem! It holds the power to change the world.

I´m as well a huge believer and will keep using Steem on a daily basis. It´s not just a social network that´s paying you but rather an amazing platform holding huge potential for decentralized payments between individuals :)

That's how I see steem. "Decentralized payment system between others". I hope by the end of the year we will see more and more transaction on the steem platform.

Even with a massive growth of 100x we´d still be using about 10% of the networks potential. That´s just amazing :)

Indeed, the world we live in today is one of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin in particular has taken the world by storm, the ledger system has a great system that monitors all transaction thus making transactions secure and boosting investment confidence. Bitcoin also comes in handy as one doesn"t have to carry cash money but rather BTCs. If one may compare the trends, bitcoin"s value has sky rocketed over the years. The electronic wallets that have lots of protocol making it hard for cyber frauds to take opportunity of any security loopholes. However, anyone can see the other user's account balances.

Sure, you can see the balance of another account but as long as the identity behind it isn´t revealed publicly that doesn´t actually matter. It´s rather the opposite as everyone can see what´s happening and no new coins can get printed without public notice like it´s pretty much the case with fiat these days...

As a disclaimer @steembusiness

My research on the various cryptocurrencies as in the above comment is concrete and shows the pros and cons of using this block chain system and many other forms of EFTPOS systems across the e-commerce globe. #tkc

I believe steem price should be 100 USD in 1 y from now. Why because of the limited supply and the low Market capitalization at the present time, Steemit is the only crypto that solves all the problems in one platform. Smart contracts via bots, media, social, video, audio, decentralized voting, Leaders with influence like ned . All of this suggests that Steem is the best and is not under the radar of any crypto trader. as the price fluctuation is very low. That is the only reason steem is so low. To stable to be profitable for short-term position.

You actually got a good point there that it´s just been too stable in the past for traders to be attractive but actually I´m quite happy about that as well. I rather see Steem growing slowly but constantly over time than to pump and dump every single month.

now steem growing more and more can change the world!

The growth in value won´t change the world that much yet but it´ll definitely lead to more exposure among the crypto community and lead to a wider adoption in the end as well as faster overall growth :)

I know a thing or two about cryptos. The NSA has 100% surveillance. Your bitcoin codes are keyboard logged and live time screen shots along with all your passwords. They won't need to shut down the internet to steal or brick your cryptos. And as for encryption, sure they can't break it (but they have your pass codes) yet they can simple stop any internet traffic that has encryption. If they don't know what it is I'm afraid I must quote Gandalf the Grey... "You shall not pass"

Yeah NSA, CIA, FBI and all are just one group, wanting to control the world.

Similar reasons are actually responsible from keeping me away from privacy coins. I´m just too scared that they will crash in value as government institutions go against them. It´s a pitty as I really like coins like e.g. Monero...

Long live Steem indeed!
I joined Steemit about a month ago and I really feel like I hopped on the bandwagon at the right time. Excited to see where Steemit will head in 2018!

I guess you´re not the only one who´s really excited about all the things that´ll happen in 2018. I think there´ll be great thing coming up especially for steem ;)

Yep and thats why I'm bringing all my friends over so they can share in the joy and happiness of Steemit as well :)

I like :)

NEO and TRON are showing promise.
Its a pity governments like China and countries in Europe dont see the potential cryptos have in changing the world to a BETTER PLACE!!

They probably do but they don´t like that cryptos would at the same time shift the Power away from them. So they try to keep it down as long as possible and will eventually start to fight it as well...

So true crypto would actually put the power into the hands of the people and take it away from the government. Afterall the one with the gold makes the rules.

I think a big concern (power aside) is tax evasion. It's fairly difficult to hide a fiat transaction going through the bank. Very easy to not report a crypto transaction that gets deposited to an anonymous wallet.

From what I observe, there will always be a disruption & new innovations in every 15 - 25 years. Bitcoin may be the pioneer, but Steemit is learning & innovating in a practical manner. Your write ups are great! Which is to educate & provide practical evidence rather than speculations. Thanks for keeping up to the momentum on a regular basis! :)

I am hoping for a Steem coin. I agree with you on your assessment

Steem is still available at a very affordable price so you better be fast to stack up some more before it takes off ;)

I have been thinking this way about Steem for a long time! Free and fast transactions. BTC no and no!

Good information as usual.

I like,,, 👍👍👍👍 @steembusiness

excellent post and insights which is very informative. Glad to be following so i get more of this. thansk for sharing.

Great post @steembusiness i agree with you!

I saw this post at $99.99 and I felt the urge to upvote it to push it over the edge into the triple digits. Also its good

hehe thanks a lot for that :)

Cool post! upvoted.

I'm curious as to your thoughts on whether we could see possible convergence in price (i.e. rally in steem mkt cap) with facebook.

I mean, FB is worth 545 billion USD at current valuation, steem's at 1.3 billion, if it even came halfway to FB's valuation return could be staggering.

Or is there some sort of change in valuation necessary because all the data is on public blockchain? Thanks!

I know some things about cryptos. The NSA has 100% observation. Your bitcoin codes are console logged and live time screen shots alongside every one of your passwords. They won't have to close down the web to take or block your cryptos. Furthermore, concerning encryption, beyond any doubt they can't break it (however they have your pass codes) yet they would simple be able to stop any web activity that has encryption.
