Why WEKU then, Where are the Community?

in steem •  6 years ago

At the end of the day money matters. This is a common phrases used quite often around the world, in context of the importance of Money in everyone's life.

This make money above everything. No relationship, no life and no love exists happily is without the Money.

Can we say same thing about Steemit??

The reason many people joins in is only to make quick bucks. I do not think it is wrong to say. Money factor is the only important reason for all of us to be active on Steemit.

People say about building a community by engaging on Steem blockchain and to be social. Even,I came across numerous posts where it was beautifully taught that building a nice community on steem block chain is far more better than always worried and looking about the rewards factor. People use to say, "build a community and rewards keep coming your way". Going by that logic its feels that Money which comes in Reward on Steemit is not so important.

But Why Weku then ??

"Weku another steemit lookalike social media platform on blockchain." Copied and presented exactly the way Steemit built on.

Everything falls apart about community development on Steemit the moment, Weku comes into picture, people started to shift their focus to Weku to build new community and simultaneously earn more Rewards. Many people thinks the early adoption to the platform help them grow faster and in coming days that they might be the Whales and Orca of Weku platform.

How many times you make your heart to belive that money is not everything and there is a community that we look after. ??

The moment Weku comes into picture, people start shifting their focus towards it ignoring Steem mid way. Though i belive the falling steem price is one of the reason. But sudden change of user attitude and people ignoranance of all the developed community they worked on for so many years.

This clearly indicates the importance of Money on Steemit . and it is only money factor that keep us going.

This is all my personal thought, in case of any add on suggestion or correcting my thought inputs are most welcome.

Stay Calm....

Keep Steeming...Steem On !!!

Saying money is not important is what people say to make themselves feel better. It is highly important, even when you are in societies without money, you barter with stuff.
It doesn't buy happiness, because happiness is a choice.
I agree that it is very important to steemit. If it were not for steem currency most people would not be here, there are easier ways to blog and create communities, on platforms that are better designed for creating a community, but they don't pay you as easily...

Thsts what i am looking for @coinsandchains its is just people show that they are not worried about money but at back of the mind its only miney that keepsus together. Community is just another way of making good rewards

I also would have like that steem inc would have put more effort into the communities in stead of the SMTs.
But we have to trust them with their choices!
Cheers,
Peter

I can agree to some point with you, but I think weku will be just resteem server of older posts.

But weku is atrracting more of steemit user...and happily people enjoying their new money making module

I agree with @psyceratopsb

Mostly I agree with your opinion about money is important to make us keep stay on steemit.
Community only as tool how the way to get reward in steemit platform.

I think, people join to weku in massive because they can't get proper reward (for their personal standard) on steemit. On the other hand the reputable communities on steemit which has built or established, make a filter to recuit new members. So that's why people start in massive join on Weku.
Besides that there are many people want to be communities leader, so the easy way is pursuing new user to join weku and then they can claim as the founder and determine the direction that community.

Thats true @happyphoenix people just get flow with the money wave. You have given a very good insight of the content....community is just a mean to make more reward.
The falling steem prices is also a reason ..people shifted to weku.to get more rewards...and also to be successful by early adopting. I belive all the early adaptors of steemit have enjoyed the cream....

Posted using Partiko Android

I posted on weku what I did here because it was easy. Kinda like I buy litecoin and STEEM on exchanges. Diversification.

Til you posted this, I had kinda forgotten about it!

So overall..it was money factor that keep hooked on to blockchain...be it steemit or weku ...people always look for money...and community is just way to earn more ..

Posted using Partiko Android

Not exactly.

I diversify knowing that I want to run a STEEMit business and and random crypto I earn can be changed into SP and swimming pools for my kids. If there was nothing in it monetarily, I suppose I would not be interested. There is and I am a big proponent of this place and will invest profits I make elsewhere here as well as my portfolio.

Community is mutually beneficial by nature and I will pull my weight no matter what opportunities I pursue.

I think it is steemit.inc who started to drag people attention on money from their introduction😂 if you create an account now, you will read "on steemit, you get paid to post and share good content" and there's nothing mentioned about the community 😂 ..well haven't checked on the new FAQ though😊

It depends on the users.. what would those developer do if the users left them because the fact is even in the real life the community based movement only exists if there's a donation from a richest donators too.

Adverisenment is always misleading. On getting into steemit the first thing you will leaen you will learn is to earn reward is to work on community. ...get engaged and get rewarded this is what i was told many a times....

Posted using Partiko Android

to be honest... I didn't really read that advertisiment until lately.. because all I need is to find community and share with through engagement, money is only a bonuses, that's why I never check on my weku account because I'm a bit busy engaging here on Steemit..

So do you post on weku too ? What is making people to shift towards weku and leaving steemit

Posted using Partiko Android

Not yet... create that account because someone gimme the refferal and he is my good friend😊 you know you shouldn't ignore your friend invitation 😉 but I never have a chance to post on weku because I always find something interesting here in Steemit.. but later, maybe just to feed my mind of exploration😅 I think what people shift towards weku and leaving steemit because it is getting harder to grow onnsteemit if you stick with the same old community which probably too crowd on a piece of "pallet" 😄

So basically it all started to develop a community and now it boiled up to shifting the entire community to other platform.
Money has alwsys been the talking point that keeps people going. Frankly even i joined on steemit a day and made few post. It was kind of starting on steemit once again.
Even they did not change the look ..and everything is too similar to diffrentiate out btween two. Falling steem prices is also the main reason that people started to look for alternative..and they get in weku....let see how the platform goes in coming days.
But i didnt get from steemit so cant tjink upon to gice more time on weku

Posted using Partiko Android

I think the "storm" will keep coming on steemit way if money is the only attractive things for people😯 but I don't know.. I read some posts from a new users today and... they were joining because the money they can earn.. but never talk about what they should do to get the money? Fundraising for internet bills or to celebrate a bitrthday? When some steemians even struggling to be able to eat 3 times a day?

So I think... try any possible apps is all right and stay with friends.. not just community

That where money comes into play...Money is everything that we are here...from whereever we get and how so get...just be money money

Posted using Partiko Android

WEKU is recycling/repurpose bin of steemit. The eventual money to be earned on WEKU will be minimal in my opinion.

Looking at growing craze among steem community it feels it grow much as compared to steem.....for sure currently it is a recycling purpose but might be the case that steem may get recycle purpose in future

Posted using Partiko Android

Possibly. You might be right. So we should publish duplicate content on WEKU, just like a backup, right? Not to lose the content. I seee.

Hey..it us just my assumption . possible how could human develop too many content for different platform . i found many wordpress dupliczte on steemit with chetah warning on it. Similarly we have same thing on weku too....people will definately reblog thwir own post there or bring inn that platform content on steemit

I joined Weku, but I'm all about Steem. Steem is my #1, but I figured it can't hurt to share my posts over there and support my friends over there.

Thats true..people cant get too many works for two different platform..so either of them need to reesteem own work

Posted using Partiko Android

I was actually thinking of posting something on weku myself, I am not sure though why does it look exactly the same as Steemit? Couldn't they at least make an effort to design something new 😂😂 of course I agree with what you are saying, the community on steemit is important but when you realise that there is only a small group of people making all the money you are tempted to leave and and try something else... Or you could just try both and see what happens. You will probably find most of your followers on weku... I believe the worst part of steemit situation is that not only the value is really low but many exchanges have suspended steem... So it is more difficult to cash in... See you on weku 😉

Posted using Partiko Android

Weku is kind of re blogging steemit post. Many people have shifted their focus over weku considering it more profitable in long run but what to do with its originator..Steemit.
Dipping steem price is the main reason..and also due to maximum reward pool revolving among big players...and nothing for small players like us. Eve weku is not registered yet but peopls started to get faith on it....
Even i too tried in their during hf20 but its like starting the steemit chapter ince again

I think people become disheartened when they put their time and energy into something which others are being well rewarded for and they are not. It's like if I went to work at the grocery store and was getting paid pennies while my colleague who is doing the same job is getting paid in hundred dollar bills. Eventually, I'm going to get tired of the perceived inequality and look elsewhere. I think it's less about the money than it is about the perception of unfairness on steemit. New folk often feel like they don't have the chance to earn on an equal level as the established folk.

May be new folks were in a hurry to earn many overnight...while they forget the only way to success on steemit is about patience and persistence.
Anyway, it is not only about new folks even many establisged user have shifted their base to weku. For sure reward inequality is the main concern...overall...but there is no gurantee that they get sucxess on newer platform.

There are never any guarantees, but for me, the perception of a more equal chance certainly helped shift my focus.

I've been blogging on steemit regularly since June. While I've seen some success and engaged with the community, it often feels as though I'm wasting my efforts as far as the rewards go. For example, I can upvote the posts of others all day long and my vote is still not worth even $0.01. I'd like to feel as though my efforts matter.

On WEKU, I can upvote people's posts and see a change in the payout for that person. I like that. It's nice to see that my hard work can make a difference. The same people I interact with on steemit are on WEKU, so on that platform I can at least support them the way they've supported me. :-)
