#Stocks win, but it would be interesting to do the analysis without a certain account that posts in #stocks frequently and has the support of one big whale whose single vote is >$100.

lol - I was just wondering why such a tag would be popular here!

great point, @webbie and @fitinfun. We may blacklist @haejin since he doesn't represent normal payouts or normal community engagement.

Do you think blacklisting a user like this is acceptable?

I did not know this was him on your report when I made my first comment. I'm a weight loss author and I do not follow the controversy except to know it is there.

But I do know:

  • He's about to take all of his crypto stuff off of steemit or already has
  • He is only going to post about fiat stocks now and still get the same high rewards.
  • there is zero interest in posts about fiat stocks on steemit

I don't know about blacklisting, but maybe you need another category for "stocks." Including that high payout in your report buries the important information about the tags people really should be using.

The rest of us could use the stocks tag all day but it is not going to help us succeed here.

Also - you can get rid of the cheetah by getting on its white list. I don't know how, but I know it can be done for this type of recurring report.

awesome, thank you. The thing is, @haejin could use any tag and instantly boost it to non-normal levels. We are attempting to blacklist spam bots and upvote bots, and I think that (assuming the community agrees), removing posts from certain users who are "abusing" the system would increase the value of these reports.

That said, I hope (and expect) a new version of this report to come out in the next week or so. This was our MVP and we realize that it's not that helpful. Thanks for commenting and I'll contact @cheetah to get on the whitelist.

Wow! And thank YOU for the amazing comment upvotes! I really appreciate that.

I hear what you are saying and I know you can make this work and be useful as you progress and adjust. The idea of what you are doing is a really good one and a functional report of this type is something I would most definitely make use of.

I do not even want to show you the spreadsheet I use now. It's a big mess, but helps me find tags I would not think of on my own. I've been pulling random info into it for the last year and I would be happy to visit your report instead.

I think our fortune-telling friend will stick to the same tag, but you never know. He's a crafty one.
