That post by @slobberchops was really good. @daan just saw something the other day where they mentioned Steem and he posted about it. The are competitors though, so it wasn't really that positive. I thought once I got to dolphin it would be easier to help give back to some of the smaller accounts. Now that I am here though orca is the new dolphin. It appears I will always be behind the curve.

Well I won't be an orca for a while, but I just bought a little more Steem. At the current price it is hard to resist.

It is hard to resist unless you have other bills that need to be paid :) I would so be jumping on these prices if I had the cash to do so. It really depresses me.

I only spent a little this time. Getting a few hundred Steem for the cost of a meal out is good value, but I appreciate not everyone has spare cash.

Funny that you mention "Getting a few hundred Steem for the cost of a meal out". I've recently started my own business and my accountant has been urging me to go eat out, so I can write off the expenses.

Didn't take his advice and bought some more Steem instead the other week :P

Fair enough. I very rarely eat out and I am looking to keep on buying small amounts of Steem.

Now that I am here though orca is the new dolphin. It appears I will always be behind the curve.

It is now, but it wont always be like this. Have faith and patience.., and if you think your not earning so much.. look at in terms of STEEM earned and not $$. It makes you feel better.

True, it is still a slow climb though. Not like I thought it was going to be when I got to this level. It is what it is though.

Thanks for the mention @steevc. I'm planning on carving out my own little corner here on Steem and calling it home. I'm here for the long haul!!

I would recommend myself just because from 2017 I never powered down and experienced many things on the platform. Some would say that in order to be able to take care of others, you need first to take care of yourself and all my trials on steemit was to follow that ;)

The minnows may well be turning into Dolphins.. hence the reduction. Every time I power up it's more than what a Minnow stake is now. £100 gets us over 700 STEEM.

If people could just see into the future.., and STEEM at $1 again, they would be flocking. I have lost more than £100 on several shit-coins and yet there are some who just plain refuse to invest even a penny.

I'm not talking third-world peeps either.

I just bought over 200 Steem for not a lot of money. If I can do that once a month or so it adds up without hitting our finances much. I would love to invest more, but we have some big expenses coming up.
