Seems like August was and has been a great month for people that signed up in that month, either that or we are all just glad we are still here. Congratulations on the start of the fourth year. We have a wierdly simular tech history, right down to working in Germany in our 20's. My BBS Node was on the CitNet of North America, by the way. Our pledge was guaranteed coast to coast email delivery in no more than two days. 😎

I still have to experience the dizziness brought about by steem lol! Aside from a friend who introduced me to steemit, I have met nobody else. I am that shy 😁😁 There are those I wanted to meet mostly from my country. Who knows, if I get lucky with the actifit and blocktrades contest, I might be there at the next steemfest. Are there other Steemians in your area? Organise a meetup and some may come. I did one in my village and it was fun even though only two people came. Meeting face to face means you can communicate much better. I hope you can get to Steemfest. That will blow your mind! ;)

The only steemians I know of are 2 hours from me and that is where my friend lives now. They do get together often before and I havebeen invited many times but I just couldn't make it. We can meet up but needs planning more in my part regarding schedule 😁
That's why if possible I wanted to meet others from my country. Going to steemfest without knowing anybody will just drive me away from it 😂

I saw Steem peak at several dollars, but did not get to spend much at that price. We have to play the long game and ride out this slump. It has not crashed to 7c as it did a while back.
